Sunday cuppa and a chat

I've gone back to bed with my
DS3 has legged it to work
The other two DC's will hopefully surface in a bit so we can take DH out for some Father's Day treats
Nothing planned other than I did say I'd cook whatever dinner DH fancied and he's asked for a roast
Bit damp and dreary here

I've been up since 7am. Ive prepped a large roast dinner for 8 people, lamb in on low heat for 6 hours. All veg ready to go, Yorkshire batter chilling.

I've made a huge coffee cake but got the oven shelf in wonky and it's come out on a slant, that will be an Interesting one to decorate.

My lovely dad passed away and we had his funeral last week. So my efforts are fully for Father's Day but in his memory. I'm cooking all his favourites.

I'm back in bed now and enjoying my lay in!

I’m really struggling at the mo - had blood tests & came out borderline low for vit B12 ( had a repeat test Wed & will ring for the results tomorrow). Feeling absolutely crap! Friend at work has suggested I request a thyroid test too. Father’s Day is basically a write off. DD12 hasn’t even wished DH a Happy Father’s Day. It was the same last year. No card, no presents. I will at least pop over to see my lovely Dad. Because I’ve been so ill, I didn’t organise his present but have got a soppy card that made me cry in Asda.I’m still in bed, trying to get motivated to have a shower & wash my hair. DH will clean out the bunnies in a bit. Tea is sorted at least as I picked up a Tesco Clubcard bargain - curry box with chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfrezi, 2 lots of pilau rice, 2 naans & 6 onion bahjis (sp!) for £3.75.

Morning haven't done none off the house work today my oldest DS is at work been out in the rain with my DGD while my DD has been tidying the living room my Dh is still in bed my DD has gotten father's day presents ready and need to give to DH and DS's as my DD isn't with my granddaughters father due to a break up while she was still pregnant so she got presents from her daughter because her brothers have been more like fathers to her daughter then her real father

Been awake since 6.30am but enjoyed cuddles with dcat4 and a cafetiere in bed until 9.30 ☕ Just had a lovely chat with my dad who's 2000 miles away, haven't seen him for 18 months and miss him so much 😰

Planning to head out later for a light lunch with my best friend then back to hers for a glass of wine and a swim, it's hot here 🥵
