Nature appreciation thread

I'm lucky to live somewhere with beautiful scenery and lots of nature on the school run. The world can seem like a pretty ugly place at times and I thought a nature appreciation thread might be a good pick me up to remind us that there is beauty around us despite the ugliness of politics, war, crime etc. It doesn't have to be local to you if it's outing, or share where it is, but I'd love a thread where we share beautiful photos.

What about sounds? I love nothing more than setting up camp on a beach, sending everyone I’m with down to the waters edge whilst I close my eyes and listen to everyone enjoying themselves. You just don’t get that beach happy sound anywhere but the beach. I honestly think it beats whale music 🤣

True about taking the rough with the smooth!!. Ds 6 loves the sound of wood pigeons as they remind him of camping he says!! He does a fab impression too!

A slow worm I saw when I was walking into work a couple of weeks ago.
It was basking in the sun on a garden wall, and I got this photo just before it slithered off.

It looks like an eel!
