Appropriate Names For People’s Jobs

Couldn’t believe that the president of the Royal Horticultural Society is called Keith Weed! And the leader of some spider group or other is Ann Webb! I knew a butcher called Mr Veal. Most unfortunately there was a Doctor De’ath & a Doctor Sikka at a hospital I attended in London!

When I read that article this morning I almost started this thread!

Nominative determinism has always fascinated me. I had my brakes done once by a Mike Breakwell. He didn't find it as funny as I did!

I knew the man that ran the local bakery, he was John Cherry.

Tickles me pink. Must be a ballache for those that are suffering!

Forty years ago, my hospital’s head of the STD clinic was a Dr Shankar.
For the non medical, a chancre (pronounced the same) is a syphilitic sore. Grin
