For some context: I'm mid 40s, single parent, and am currently working as a lecturer. This something I sort of fell into about 12 years ago, after working in a helping profession (think counselling, occupational therapy, social work, etc) which I also kind of drifted into. I lecture in the "helping profession".
My job is OK - I don't hate it but I'm pretty bored in it, and the pay isn't great. I currently earn about £32k and live in a big and expensive city.
I'm kind of thinking that I would like to change careers, in particular I'm wondering if I have skills that might pay more elsewhere. However I have no idea what I want to do.
Am I crazy for even thinking of this? And is there anyone who can help me find something I might like to do?
