Going soon, and staying in the Shark cabins. Very excited but a bit apprehensive about what to expect. The app isn't in the app store and the map is rubbish quality.

Is there anything to do that's not a ride?
Is there anything to do in the evening now?

So Far I have:
Arrive early (am for 10am open?)
Go on popular rides first
Take snacks and try to avoid eating at lunch time
Take wet weather gear for the wet rides.
Have booked the Infinity bar for dinner.

Another question- if you can’t have bags on the ride with you, do you just leave them on the side? With phones in and stuff?

Take only what you absolutely need and buy an old fashioned bum bag. Better for securing and you can carry on wearing it on most rides.

Unless I've got a newbie I want to ease into larger rollercoasters gently, I'd always get saw, colossus and stealth done first

My daughter's first ever big coaster, age 10, was Colossus ;-)

Thanks so much for the tips. We went and it was epic!

The shark cabins are tiny. HALF a shipping container. Quite loud with kids running up and down the corridor. But the shower was good. An OK choice.

Food at infinity bar ok.

Black mirror really scared my 11 year old. But other kids seemed fine.

We had a great time. Thanks all.

Thank for all the tips- we're going next week and they're really useful.

I've not been to a theme park for years - can you still take a small, long strapped shoulder bag, worn diagonally across you on to rides? That's what I used to do to put phone, purse etc in but I wasn't sure if that was still ok?

I know they'll have places to leave bags for each ride as you get on, but I don't like leaving my phone, purse in it then.

Thanks!

My youngest ds is going there on a school trip next week.

No. No bags on rides. It always staggers me that we all drop our phones and purses (in bags), willingly into crates, before the ride. But the wierd thing is, that it just works and very rarely a problem.

(Have lived close by and gone most years for last 18 years! )

Thank you. That's what I thought, but just wanted to check... Hope your ds has a great time.
