I'll share my stupidity with you lot as a cautionary tale...
My neighbour's giant pine tree was blocking my ocean view so whilst they were on a vacation, I took it upon myself to trim a wee limb that was in our beautiful sight line of the Pacific And Catalina Island...I couldn't quite reach the limb even with a ladder so I pulled my car into the drive, stacked up a few wooden pallets so I could do the job. Yes! I could reach the limb finally! Only problem was that I'd forgotten that limbs don't just fall straight down when cut. The forced of the branch as I made the final cut caused it to swing back and swipe me right off the car roof. I went flying though the air into a bank of dirt and landed right on my shoulder joint which made the humourus bone crack in half at the bottom of the ball....but of course, the first thing that I did was to make sure no-one had seen me fall!
I then soldered on to clean up after myself and put away my tools. The rest is history... that's my story...I've never shared this with anyone , so please don't rat me out
