A colleague has signed off their email to me with the sign-off regards. Do they hate me?

Yet another one who's pissed off all her colleagues then.

Seriously, people need to get a life and stop looking for slights where there are none.

Regards or kind regards is standard in all the large well known companies I have worked for/communicated with. It's usually set up as your standard signature, so you're not writing it every time. That would be a lot of grievances/lost business if it anyone for one minute thought it meant 'go fuck yourself.' How weird.

TaraR2020 · 28/05/2021 14:58

Its a complete minefield, whatever you put loads of people pipe up to say its passive aggressive!

I would only think passive aggression if they alter their usual sign off.

KenAddams · 28/05/2021 15:54

Regards is OK kind/est regards not so much 😂 could they possibly of been in autopilot mode and done it without thinking

WitchDancer · 28/05/2021 16:03

I usually use kind regards, unless I am extremely annoyed with someone. If they do I use regards because they deserve it Grin

Glad it's not just me then. Someone I used to work with signed off "BR". Very lazy imho.

Worked with a woman a few years ago who had in her signature

Kindest regards always

So what if your colleague hates you? If they co-operate and you can work together, surely that is enough.
