Getting like my mother - you?

I just tucked a tissue up my sleeve - exactly like my mum does! I always swore I'd never do this.

And now when I look in the mirror my mother stares back at me!

Anyone else?

Christ no. My DSis is though. It’s a bit scary tbh. Lol

I hope I never end up my like my DM. Apparently I look a little like her to some relatives but I cannot see it. I've noticed that I am getting very similar to my DA though which I love! I seem daily to becoming an older version of myself and this is fairly recent!

No I'm not like either, I like to think I'm a decent human being.

I've turned into my dad (which my kids should be very happy about, as he was a total star, while my mum was, frankly, terrifying.) The first time one of my kids went "where's my (whatever)" and I said under my breath "at your arse, where you left it" I felt like I could feel my dad looking down from whatever cloud he lives on these days Smile

@pictish

Just yesterday morning I was getting ready for work, doing my hair in the wee mirror on the table, when I paused and put my hands up to my face. I realised I was looking at an exact replica of my mother’s small, brown hands in my own. She died 16 years ago and the sight of my mum hands made me lurch with missing her.
Oh me too. I have Mothers hands, she died nearly 8 years ago. It’s strangely comforting for me too, I can still see how my Mothers hands used to caress my DD’s face or how she’d stroke my hair (even as a grown up), I love having ‘her’ hands.

Aw to those of you with mother’s hands too. Xx
