I bought some of those foamy shrimps and bananas from Asda last week - was really looking forward to them and DH ATE THEM ALL! 😵
So, I bought two packets yesterday! I am just sitting down with tea and bag of said foamy delights - goodness I forgot how amazing they are!
What's your sweet favourites?

Back in the 80s there used to be lovely strawberry milkshake flavoured Postman Pat chews. You were a failure as a postman but you made good sweets, Pat.

ElderMillennial · 15/05/2021 16:06

I love these threads

And I love shrimps and bananas
Bubblegum turtles
Bubble gum bottles
Pencils
Sour belts
Refreshers
Drumsticks
Midget gems

ElderMillennial · 15/05/2021 16:06

Pear drops

ElderMillennial · 15/05/2021 16:07

Candy sticks (the soft ones that are weighed out)
Bonfire toffee

RumJerrySailorRum · 15/05/2021 16:08

Jelly Tots, although they have dicked about with the bloody shape of them which pisses me off.

I get travel sick so there is always a bag of boiled sweets in the car, currently Yorkshire Mixture.

And I'm rather partial to a packet of refreshers.

DH would say wine gums, in particular Maynards, every time. They are his absolute favourite.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 15/05/2021 16:08

The old full sugar rock hard, chewy Sports Mixture.

orkneyfudge · 15/05/2021 16:10

How do you order a pic 'n' mix????

I have been known (in normal time) to go to thr cinema and leave without seeing the film, with a bag of pic 'n' mix!

My faves are the white mice with the pink liquid (meant to be blood?) inside, white choc fish and chips, fruit salad, rhubarb & custard, bon bons- 80s child! I don't think anything tastes as nice anymore though.

Serpenta · 15/05/2021 16:10

I'm dubious of the character of anyone who would choose wine gums above all other sweets. They are clearly the worst sweets and have a cheek to even consider themselves sweets. Dreary little things.

I was addicted to refreshers when pregnant - helped stop the nausea!
