Worst tattoo pain?

Where did you think was the most painful area?

I had my back done yesterday and I'm limping around like a crone.

My worst one was on my hand, second would be the top of my foot.

Weirdly for me my thighs were the most painful. Shoulders and arms were fine so I thought legs would be a doddle but no, I nearly cried. And I was having matching tattoos on both legs so I knew whatever I went through with one was going to be repeated on the other. Five hours of agony but I love them.

Was it the front or back of the thigh?

It was the front. I thought plenty of flesh, it’ll be fine. I was wrong!

It was on the side of my calf. It wasn't the tattoo that hurt, it was the after pain and the swelling. It was honestly brutal.

That's meant to be one of the less painful places! 😭

@GreedyBird Sorry! You might be fine, mine were painful but they are predominantly black and dark grey though and I always find those sore. My others are all colourful so that might be why. I hope yours isn’t too sore. Just think of how much you’ll love it when it’s done.

How big are yours? Mine is going to be about 5 inches round so hope I can stick it!

My calf was Agony and still not finished, two more sessions 😭.

Oh and my inner ankle wasn't pleasant going over the bone either

Back and outer thigh. I have similar on the other thigh

I have one on the top of my shoulder and it was all fine until she started going over my spine. Fuck me, never felt something so painful. I could feel the vibrations all over my body. Actually thought I was going to be sick from it!

I've got tattoos in the following areas:

Abdomen
Thighs
Ankle
Foot
Wrist
Lower arms
Collarbone
Ribs
Behind ear
Back of calf

Foot was most painful. I've had laser removal on my wrist and that hurt.

Full tattoo sleeves chest tattoos and legs done ! My top thigh hurt the worst and my leg look massive whilst it was healing 😂

I want flowers done on my collarbone but I keep chickening out.
Not helped by (tattooed) DH saying to me oooh right on the bone, that’ll be very painful!

I wonder if it's personal as I've got my inner wrist and it wasn't an issue at all. Just a scratch really.

Yeah ^ my inner wrists were fine. I'm covered in tattoos and it was my ribs that nearly made me vom.

My thigh tattoos are probably about 6” x 5” and I had them both done at the same time. Did have a laugh the following day though as I had to work and couldn’t bear anything rubbing on my legs. Was sat at my desk with my skirt tucked in my knickers when my boss came and sat beside me to go through some files! Poor man didn’t know what to do.

Are they line work or coloured too?

Hip bone for me.
Loved getting my side/kidney area done. I nearly fell asleep.
I think the size of the needle is the bitch, finer lines are more scratchy and sharp pain in my experience.

Lasering then off hurts like a bugger too

I have a few tattoos but my god, the top of my foot. I thought I was going to pass out/be sick or both! I went pale and clammy and we had to take a break before carrying on. Never again on that area!
