Greedy Kenny. How much looking after did poor George need? I’d have done it for free. apple.news/AsJoZtBdzQ0WGNT5xRdAUAA surely they had maids and cleaners and chefs and everything

He wasn't just good to him. They were a couple for years.

You think he was unaffected by George's death then? That he was just a someone to him?

eviesmum · 15/05/2021 13:57

Greedy excuse of a human being

flashylamp · 15/05/2021 14:00

@NiceGerbil

I take your point in the situation. However in real life that would extend to a parent whose partner walks and that paired with the hopelessnes of pursuing NRP for child support means lots of children ending up in poverty. I know a lot of people say tough shit to that. Just wondering if you meant all situations where the unexpected happened. Or just this one.

There is no child. No comparison.

I was talking financially, not emotionally.

NiceGerbil · 15/05/2021 14:04

Well then you should have been more specific in your comment.

In the end none of them knew them. Who knows what the situation is or was.

NiceGerbil · 15/05/2021 14:05

None of us that should say!

NewMatress · 15/05/2021 14:07

Was there a will or did the family inherit because he died intestate?

As he was famous for taking care of people it seems odd he didn't make provision for Kenny, but we'll never know why that was.

NewMatress · 15/05/2021 14:11

@rockingthelook

Embarassed for him, thank God George had Andrew Ridgley and Shirley Kemp in his corner not treating him in life and death as a cash machine,
Didn't GM give AR a writing credit on Careless Whisper precisely to make sure he was sorted for life? It may not have been the case that people were around only for his money, but they certainly did well out of him.

Or you should have taken what I said, about the situation, at face value instead of adding thing onto unnecessarily.

You don't get to tell me what I 'should have' done. I can't write what I want. I'm sorry your attempt to put me down didn't work.

Yes, there was a will.
mylovelydd · 15/05/2021 14:19

Why is it people feel they should be financially compensated for having been in a relationship? Poor George. Surrounded with parasites.

Motnight · 15/05/2021 14:29

Poor George. He chose his last 2 partners really badly IMO. He had a will, he had made the decision for whatever reason that he didn't want to leave Kenny any money.

I miss George.

Susanshite · 15/05/2021 14:50

Slightly off topic, but both George and his sister Melanie died on Christmas Day.

How tragic for their family.

EachandEveryone · 15/05/2021 14:59

I know. How did his sister die? I still wonder abput what was going on that night. Why the hairdresser was sat in his car whilst George was dying. Its the most bizarre thing. I wonder if the family know and just wanted it kept private?

His sister died of a diabetic coma. So sad.

Gothichouse40 · 17/05/2021 01:25

I had no idea George's sister had died, they were close. How very sad.

dayswithaY · 17/05/2021 07:34

I believe his sister died alone too, so tragic.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 17/05/2021 07:51

Apparently GM was a truly lovely man. I heard he watched a gameshow where a contestant was trying to win money for IVF and he anonymously donated what she needed.
I think if GM wanted KG to have money, he would have put it in the will. Trying to get financial support years down the line after a relationship ended is sleazy AF imo.
The only thing that gives me pause is that gay marriage wasn't legal when they were together and if it had been and if they'd married and divorced, then KG may have had a formal financial settlement.
There's a lot of 'ifs' though - who can say what GM would have done had marriage been a legal option for him.

Ellmau · 18/05/2021 00:17

There is a lot of money left in George's estate as recently his sister Melanie died unexpectedly young. She was the main beneficiary and died without making a will.

But wouldn't what he left her now be her estate and go to her rightful heirs? Unless it was left in trust for her lifetime.

EachandEveryone · 18/05/2021 11:06

I dont think she had a partner or children. I think theres a niece from his other sister.

On what planet is this anybody’s business ffs?

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 18/05/2021 11:18

Temp most things discussed on MN aren't other people's business. If you don't think it's appropriate, you don't need to be here
