Can I go to Australia to see very sick Dad?

Rather outing but have found out today my Dad, who lives in Oz, is very very sick and having a major operation in the next few days which he may not survive.
Can I go there? Do I have to quarantine? If I'm stuck in a hotel I won't be able to see him. I'm fucked aren't I? 😰

Sorry to say this but you would need an exemption to be permitted to travel, have a negative test and quarantine on arrival.

Should the worst happen you would not be able to see him

Thank you. I think my brain knows that but I can't quite seem to get my head round it or accept it.

There’s also a waiting list for the hotels to quarantine so it’s doubtful you’d be able to even get a flight anytime soon. Really sorry op, it’s really not fair . Hopefully he will be fine Flowers

If I were you I'd crack on and get the wheels in motion. If you can afford to. Delegate tasks to your friends if you can't get your head round stuff. 💐

Thank you both. It is as I thought but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any loophole.
