Looking for a house, this popped up, unless I win the lottery it’s not in budget but look, how beautiful is this; www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/find.html?locationIdentifier=REGION%5E557&minBedrooms=4&radius=1.0&sortType=6&propertyTypes=&mustHave=&dontShow=&furnishTypes=&keywords=#prop105913955

Just a list for me too!

artquejtion · 24/04/2021 09:23

Is it the for 7 million, with the tennis court and the 'waterfall' stream? If it is, the landscaping is absolutely stunning, interiors not to my liking but it looks to be in fabulous condition,

FoolsAssassin · 24/04/2021 09:25

Thank you Pinkearedcow 😊

Spudlet · 24/04/2021 09:25

That’s gorgeous. And actually the decor is pretty neutral really - get your own furniture and curtains in there and you’d very quickly make it your own. Lose the swagging and the pelmets and it would soon look a bit less fussy.

Lot of upkeep, but of course in my fantasy life I could employ people to do all the boring bits and of just do the fun bits!

Pinkearedcow · 24/04/2021 09:29

Imagine walking up that path with all the lavender at each side, alive with bees and smelling wonderful...

miliie55 · 24/04/2021 09:29

From the outside it is absolutely stunning. Not sure I'm so keen on the inside but the grounds are just spectacular! I can't help but think oh wow wouldn't that make an amazing wedding venue lol

4PawsGood · 24/04/2021 09:31

@trappedsincesundaymorn

It's a lovely house, but going by the floor plan you have to walk through bedroom 4 to get to the master bedroom....so it's a no from me.
No you don’t. Are you looking at the £7.75 million one?
Pinkearedcow · 24/04/2021 09:33

I agree with Spudlet, get rid of the curtains and the interior is fine.

I have decided against putting an offer in, though. It's just a little too big for the three of us (one of us is a cat).

Daydrambeliever · 24/04/2021 09:34

Oh yes, that is a beaut. At the moment I am most jealous of the gorgeous outdoor dining gazebo thing. I agree that a house like that would need a staff to keep it up!!

caringcarer · 24/04/2021 09:39

I just get a list too. It seems an expensive area.

VenusClapTrap · 24/04/2021 09:41

It’s nice, but I’ve seen nicer for half the price. I suppose it’s due to the location - Godalming is lovely.

Chilham Castle on the other hand - YES PLEASE

It is a lovely house, but I wouldn't like to live in it. Too big to feel comfortable.

Loveistheonlyway · 24/04/2021 09:44

ScotlandUnited

Why would it be the OP's house? Strange comment with the 'nice try' Hmm

Loveistheonlyway · 24/04/2021 09:46

I love the grounds but don't like huge houses like that. Give me a little cottage in amongst all the grounds and I'd be very happy 😊

TheCrowening · 24/04/2021 09:55

Stunning house. Think it would take a Euromillions win, not “just” the lottery!

wonkylegs · 24/04/2021 10:03

We looked at a fairly similar house (same style and size, with slightly nicer grounds and amazing views) but it was in the NE, it was in good order but needed some updating (boiler, kitchen was 10yrs old immaculate but not to our taste) max £50k of work
Priced at £750k

I know it's more expensive down south (I'm a transplanted Southerner) but the difference in prices makes your eyes water.

4PawsGood

Ooops sorry. I looked at the house that was on top of the list when I clicked on the link. It's changed to a different one now. I shall go look at the right house....and drink coffee, because I clearly need it. [embarrassed]

trappedsincesundaymorn · 24/04/2021 10:07

Can't even do an emjoi now...that's it I'm going back to bed.

FoolsAssassin · 24/04/2021 10:08

Am now going to see what I can cut off my Lavender bush to make cuttings and make unused fire pit into a pond ! Not fussed in the house but outside is gorgeous.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 24/04/2021 10:12

having looked at the right house. It's lovely, but all that lavender will have to g., My allergy won't event let me use one drop of lavender on my pillow at nigh.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 24/04/2021 10:14

So many typos. Can't see to type well...damn hayfever.

daisybrown37 · 24/04/2021 10:17

Lovely house, but I would spend half my life trying to remember where I put my phone, coffee mug, keys etc...

OhForGodsSakeWhatNow · 24/04/2021 10:19

Shame it's out of budget, could you speak to your mortgage lender? Ask them to lend 200x salary?

Oblomov21 · 24/04/2021 11:07

I can't see the street view so can't see all the parked cars.
