Does anyone else find it's very cold?

I know we are going through a weather spell right now. The temperature on my phone reads 7C and that's a daytime temperature.

Casting aside the 7C reading on the phone. I'm very much feeling a cold and a chill in my body. I saw my mom and she was a long sleeved t-shirt. I am wearing a hoodie and a cap indoors. I'm definitely feeling the cold in my body. Usually in the winter and when it's very cold, I feel it in my tummy with cramps. The cold goes through me.

Are other people feeling that it's this cold like a wintertime coldness or is it just me?

Well, it's trying to snow, right now, where I am!

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 11/04/2021 15:43

I've felt cold recently too.
There's only been one day since Christmas when I haven't worn a thermal vest.

I have seedlings indoors waiting to be planted out. There was a frost last night.

Susie477 · 11/04/2021 15:44

Currently 6c and hail/sleet here in Leicestershire which is bloody cold for the middle of April.

I blame the cricketers, the season started last week.

maddiemookins16mum · 11/04/2021 15:50

I was freezing all day yesterday, my feet were like ice. We had the heating on much longer than normal too.

Bluntness100 · 11/04/2021 15:52

Yes, I am feeling it too, I commented to my husband yesterday I can’t believe it’s five degrees it feels freezing outside.

sideboobissues · 11/04/2021 16:10

It's blooming freezing! And it feels worse because I've come to expect warmer weather in April. Apparently it's not going to be as warm all year as it was last year (I know long range is inaccurate). Having said that 20 degrees is going to feel tropical compared to this. (I'm outside - wearing many layers, sun is warm but the minute a cloud goes over it's bone chilling.)

Worriesome · 11/04/2021 16:11

I’m in Scotland and it’s snowing as I write this

PinkBuffalo · 11/04/2021 16:23

Yes it has been so cold here

bonfireheart · 11/04/2021 16:25

It's snowing here in Birmingham.

lughnasadh · 11/04/2021 16:29

It'll be the Dementors.

NameChange74567 · 11/04/2021 16:29

It's absolutely freezing! Been snowing here most of the day, yesterday was the same.

stevematekatemate · 11/04/2021 16:31

Definitely cold. We’ve had snow today. There was a good covering this morning when we got up.

SpiceRat · 11/04/2021 16:32

Cold here too. It was 1 degree when we took the dog out at 9am. Blazing sun in the living now but still only 6 degrees and says it’s going to snow later. I think (and I’m thick as shit so this is just w musing) the seasons have shifted slightly. It seemed warmer in December than usual and colder now. I need a good spell of warm weather now!

expectopelargonium · 11/04/2021 16:32

It's not just you OP.

It's 7 degrees here too, supposedly. So how come it is snowing outside and I'm sitting in the house shivering?

Bargebill19 · 11/04/2021 16:44

@lughnasadh

It'll be the Dementors.
😳🤣
Frownette · 11/04/2021 16:48

@Greengrassonhighroad

I was on two different courses of antibiotics over the past number of weeks and I thought I was experiencing an unusual coldness related to that but it's good to know its not just me. Thank you.
Yeah me too, how did you get on with them? They really hurt my stomach!

It's been much colder past week, sun was out today which was nice but temp will drop when it sets.

missbunnyrabbit · 11/04/2021 17:39

Its definitely cold. I've been outside planting and I can barely feel my fingers! Yet everyone is outside in shorts and vests!? I think they look silly, they must be freezing!

peak2021 · 11/04/2021 18:01

Not today but did earlier in the week, especially Monday, because of the wind.

Felt spring a bit when seeing ducklings today.

Luckyelephant1 · 11/04/2021 18:09

It's a horrible biting cold that goes right into your bones, it's not even like that fresh spring kind of air but more of a bitter early January cold. These last few days in particular have been horrible. This time last year I was in a thin tshirt and the weather was glorious!

MooseBeTimeForSummer · 11/04/2021 18:15

I live in Canada. That’s all you need to know.

Oh I remember a Chinese friend staying with her boyfriend in Canada, she looked out the window and there was a dazzling blue sky so she ran out in bare feet into the snow then started yelping like a hurt puppy!
fussychica · 11/04/2021 18:21

Blinkin' freezing. Saw my neighbour mowing so thought I'd go out and do ours. When outside to start preparing and came in sharpish.
Just postponed meeting up with DS tomorrow as the forecast has gone down the pan since we organised itSad. Now meeting up on Saturday come rain or, hopefully, shine as its supposed to be significantly warmer than today. What's another few days when you've not got together since the end of August due to lockdown.

FloralJammies · 11/04/2021 18:22

It’s been warm here when the sun is out then 10 minutes later it’s snowing! Very odd weather for this time of year.

APurpleSquirrel · 11/04/2021 18:24

Yes! Spent two hours in friends garden this afternoon in a coat & scarf & even though I'm home in our warm (21degrees) house (& have been for last 2hrs) in booty slippers, hoodie, leggings, long sleeved top & fleece blanket I'm still cold!

LadyCatStark · 11/04/2021 18:30

It’s absolutely bloody freezing! We live by the sea and the wind has been blasting us every day since February. I’m absolutely sick to death of it. You can’t even take your bins out without getting blasted. I know no one’s in charge of the weather. If it’s so unfair that we’ve been stuck in lockdown for so long and we don’t even have nice weather to get us through.
