On the back of another thread, what has exceeded your expectations.

If I may, I’ll kick off with The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St. Fagans Museum, Tokyo, Michelangelo’s David, Tintagel and Porthminster Beach Cafe in St. Ives.

The Bayeux Tapestry. We were lucky enough to arrive between coach parties and had it more or less to ourselves.

This! Nothing prepared me for seeing the Bayeux Tapestry in real life. Knockout. Almost a thousand years old and brings the era to life brilliantly.

Safari in Kenya - was just amazing. Exactly what I thought I'd be like and more. Just animals wherever you look. I even saw a leopard kill, I didn't 'enjoy' that as such and really willing the poor impala to get away but to see that in their natural habitat was just something else.

Iceland - the views with all the snow, just breathtaking and thought the Blue Lagoon was pretty awesome too.

Thailand - where I went was literally like a scene from the film The Beach, never seen such beautiful water and landscape before

The game The Room 4: Old Sins. I had played the other three Room games and forgotten how good they are. I'd go so far as to say they are masterpieces of invention!
