Can we have another Change One Letter thread please?

The old one filled up! Last word was 'Bard'.

I assumed we were meant to stick to 5 letters, but a couple of people started putting 6 letter ones in, therefore adding a letter AND changing one, and then someone else put a 7 letter one, and then someone put an 8 letter one!

Can someone clarify the rules please?

Look back just a few posts, and the 'adding an extra letter,' and then changing one AND adding one started. I didn't start it.

I see it now. Sorry I came back and your post was the last I saw. Checked and saw a few more of the same. So thought it was a pattern you were following on your own. Didn't check others.

Sorry. Didn't think I was being rude, something similar happened in the previous thread and the named poster realised their mistake (iirc).

Thought it was either the same here or something had changed in my absence.

I didn't mean to suggest you were rude.

I think I just felt a bit miffed, because other posters had been using 6, 7, and even 8 letter words... And yet it was only me who got 'called out' for it, when I had only been following other people.

As I said, if someone could clarify the rules, it would be helpful.

No, not stick to 5 letters. It can be any number but either add or remove 1 letter from the last word.

A few times, we've reset the last word to something new because we were stuck.

The rules are add one, take one away or change one. So the length of the words can go up and down. Scramble the whole word was not in the rules as far as I am aware.
