I've been going through a really difficult time with my mental health for a while and two of my friends have been absolute lifelines. They've given me so much good advice, so much support, so much love and it's largely thanks to them and their constant positivity that I am inspired to be more positive myself. I want to post them something, just a little surprise, a little something to show appreciation. Not a card, nothing wordy, I've already told them in person how much it means, but just a little something, something they can keep and have in there house and smile when they see it. I want to show more gratitude and positivity. It seems like a nice place to start with being a better, happier version of myself. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm drawing a blank.

Whatever you choose, pen them a poem, doesn't have to be long, but obviously personal, not found on the net.

I totally dissolved when a friend wrote me one, I am planning to have it framed.

I bought this for a very good friend of mine. It went down very well.

@YogaLite I think that depends on the person's poetry skills. If I wrote a friend a poem it would go something like;

Thanks for being kind to me,
Mumsnet was no help with gifts so I wrote this poem for free.
It's better than a willow tree,
Or a bouquet or three.

Actually- it's a masterpiece. Please feel free to use OP.

How about a nice vase and some flowers to go in it?

I know that you mentioned something to keep and make them smile but I would send a food treat gift.

A box of cupcakes from Lolas (or similar) would be my personal choice.
