Favourite and easiest and most effective! New to the alien concept of exercise and completely unable to choose one from all the YouTube videos!

Clams, hip bridges and ballet-style plies are also good. They won't replace weights but will complement the other exercises mentioned in the thread.

Glute bridges - there are so many varieties too. Look up Pamela Reif on YouTube. Tough for a beginner but will give you an idea.

Fire hydrants

Clam shells.

Look up Fitness Blender on YouTube.

The good thing about these types of exercise is that you can up the intensity with resistance bands once you get going.
