What hoover do we need?

Our trusty Vax is just not sucking as well as it used to. No matter how often I clean it out and wash the filter. So we're in the market for a new one! I would love a Miele but my husband doesn't want a bagged hoover Hmm Must be an upright, so definitely no Henry or his family. I borrowed one for a while and I hated every minute I used that smiley little fucker, getting wedged on everything and tipping over at random Hmm

I’ve got a Meile cat and dog and it’s a bloody pain in the arse. Don’t buy one if you have anyone in the family with long hair. It sucks up ok but I’m constantly having to pull the brushes apart to pull out all the hair otherwise they stick solid and it doesn’t suck as well. Cost a lot too.

Sebo. They are the absolute best.

I’ve got a Miele - my cleaner recommended it and she swears by it. I find it too heavy.

I’m currently weighing up a shark or dyson cordless.

@Letsgetbizzy I'd love a robot but I think my toddler would try and ride it 🤣 Maybe when he's older and we have no baby gates!

I'd buy a bagged vacuum cleaner every time. It's a Sebo for us. Not flash, just does everything really well.

We've also got a Shark. Absolutely hate it, as does DH. The dust container is ridiculously small, and needs changing several times if you have pets. And the whole thing is just so dirty. The dust container is permanently grimy and cleaning the filter is a while new level of revolting. Performance isn't as good as the Sebo either.
