I had a psychic phone reading the other day. The reader had fabulous reviews but already the opposite of what he predicted came true. Yes, I've been conned.

Just out of curiosity has anyone ever had a good psychic reading?

I’ve told this on here before many name changes ago. For years my mother and aunt swore by the scary accuracy of a locally-famous woman they’d gone to see when I was a baby, and would reel off impossibly specific things she got right and correctly predicted.

Then we found at the bottom of an old handbag in the attic about five years ago my aunt’s notes on what the ‘psychic’ had actually said on the day. Unsurprisingly, my mother and aunt had forgotten the large amount of completely incorrect things she had said, and massively exaggerated the right guesses.

Which I gather studies suggest is typical, but it was interesting to see it in writing.
