Anglesey

We have a long weekend in Anglesey booked for the end of June. It was moved from last year and it's looking like it should go ahead this year...

We are going to be walking some of the coastal path but are looking for ideas of things to do on our rest days.

It's lovely that we can plan and discuss holidays again.

That’s very true! It’s fab to see the visitors back. Enjoy the planning & your hols.

We're still going in June. Thanks for all the suggestions. All we have booked is the accommodation, as we are driving there. It looks like there is a lot to do.

Yes, it is nice to be able to think about holidays again.

I like the sound of Butterfly Palace.

There is something similar in Lancaster in Williamson Park and it's lovely.

Beaches...that's all it's for or about. Beautiful, empty, quiet beaches. Hidden everywhere. Dozens of them. What few folk are on them are like minded and pleasant to share a word with. However I'm certain the locals may have a different take on what there is to do there? If you like it quiet and enjoy a nice walk then it's Cornwall without the Viet Corn' or the tourists, although Staycationing is trying to ruin that. Don't go to Red Wharf at the height of season...you'll realise why there are firearms regulations in the UK...Red wharf is gorgeous, the food is fantastic but what tourists there are ruin the place with their Me First attitudes. Go off season, the place , the walks, the food, the people, are lovely. Don't go there when it's busy...it's nasty. Similarly Beaumaris...only not so grim. Beautiful by the Menai in the Spring and Autumn. Do Anglesey off peak...the weather is strange, it has an attitude all of it's own. If Anglesey likes you she'll fix that for you. If she doesn't, she'll rain in your Mercedes Cabrio...serves you right too. As for living there?... I'd go tomorrow.
