What's Hoseasons like?

Is it very varied? Is it more like Butlins or Center Parcs 😂

I don't think you're getting it. You don't "go to Hoseasons" as you would "go to Pontins or Butlins".

The parks we've booked through them were family run businesses and they used Hoseasons as their booking platform to sell holidays. Then we'd spend maybe £40 or so on arrival for entertainment passes.

DavidsSchitt · 21/03/2021 21:42

Yep, Lady's Mile are family run.

Just book direct with them unless you can get an easy free cancellation deal elsewhere

GrilledCheeze · 21/03/2021 21:47

@Hoppythehippo Bluestone and Forest Hols were definitely on my list but already booked up for July/August. Thanks though.

Don't worry, I get it now I was just sympathising with PP.

Totally depends on the park. They are al different and offer different things.

I'd crack on if you are looking at summer holidays this year!

Lovemusic33 · 22/03/2021 07:30

We have used hoseasons many times, as above they don't actually own parks, they are the middle man, some of the lodges/caravans/cottages are privately owned on parks owned buy other company's such as John Fowler and privately owned parks. Most of tue ones we have been too have been good, only had one bad one which was on a run down park. We usually stay in lodges and have had a couple good deals.

@dudsville

Has everyone else just grown up knowing what hoseasons is?
This is what I grew up thinking Hoseasons was all about, and to be honest I thought it still was - messing about in the water
Ionacat · 22/03/2021 08:27

We’ve used them a number of times - mainly as another poster said as a base to explore the area. It’s quite nice to have take away and a shop on site and if there’s been a pool, then the DC have enjoyed it. Always check with the site direct though as well as sometimes I’ve found Hoseasons cheaper (and you can sometimes get cash back with TopCashback) and sometimes going direct to the site has been cheaper.

VenusClapTrap · 22/03/2021 08:33

Thought it was just boats too. I got their brochure once years ago, but didn’t book because it seemed a bit pricey for a week in Norfolk, although the Broads looked beautiful.

RomainingCalm · 22/03/2021 12:09

Before you book direct just check what reassurance they give you if you have to cancel due to Covid restrictions.

We had to cancel a Hoseasons' break last year when we moved into Tier 4. Within 24 hours of the announcement we had an email from Hoseasons asking whether we'd prefer a refund or a voucher to rebook. No need to contact them, no hassle. For that alone I'd recommend them at the moment.

Soberfutures · 22/03/2021 12:17

Always use hoeseasons.

Search the different categories such as Go Active or Bouja so you can easily find the style of holiday you want. Lodges or caravans. Entertainment or nature etc.

Recommend thanet well Lodge for hot tubs and relaxation. Also brockwood Hall. And Talacre beach for family and kids.

IstandwithJackieWeaver · 22/03/2021 12:28

I'm another one who had no idea Hoseasons was just an agent!

SkepticalCat · 22/03/2021 12:44

Dare I mention Haven? Do they own their holiday parks (like Butlins/Pontins/Center Parcs) or are they more like Hoseasons?

Haven own their parks. I've been to a couple of Haven parks when they offered cheap deals and it was OK as a cheap base to explore the area but not somewhere to spend most of your time. They do advertise swimming pools/kids activities etc but the pools are pretty small and activities fairly basic. They all have evening entertainment/bars but it's bingo, kids disco and perhaps an act. I've never been to Butlins so can't compare to that but Haven are definitely not like Center Parcs.

Thanks @muckyhoover

Tinydancer38 · 05/04/2021 09:52

We’ve just booked a site in Bude in June... looks lovely but any tips welcomed! We are not usually holiday park bookers but seen as abroad seems off the cards this year we’ve taken the plunge lol! It’s more for our daughter to have a fun holiday really (she’s 5) so hoping it will do the job!
