Lovely calligraphic writing, duck eggs, no idea what Little Moons are!

Have a guess which supermarket it was Grin

@canyon2000

I didn't know people still wrote shopping lists! I thought most people used their phonesShock
I use my phone to scan my shopping. If the list was on it too it would be a PITA.
toffeebutterpopcorn · 19/03/2021 18:03

It’s not a proper list if people haven’t added their own comments ‘get me chocolate!’ ‘ buy me treats’ ‘dinosaur eggs x12’ ‘peacock tongues’...

Expectingsomethingwonderful · 19/03/2021 18:03

I write my list on a blackboard in the kitchen and then take a photo of it with my phone before i go shopping. So simple.

If I couldn't cross off what I'd bought, I'd go home without half my shopping!
Littlefluffyclouds13 · 19/03/2021 18:07

I feel old! Have been on here for a very long time, back when everyone owning a smartphone was just a dream Grin
Back then all that was discussed was the quality of the list discovered etc nobody would have considered a list could be on anything but a piece of paper!!!

HeronLanyon · 19/03/2021 18:09

partridges ? Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 19/03/2021 18:14

There's nothing that shows you you're in a different class when you see a shopping list like this Grin

Mine is scrawled on by 6 people, it had not so stealth rude things added because my kids find it hilarious (as do I)

It has bizarre slang and silly words we use for things and whilst it starts neat and in category, it ends on scrawls going diagonally by the end of the week.

canyon2000 · 19/03/2021 18:19

I use the 'List' function on the Sainsburys Smart Shop app. It is not a faff at all and is easier than having a list! #luddites Grin

MysweetAudrina · 19/03/2021 18:43

Am I the only person who never uses a list. I just buy stuff and cook around it. Very rarely run out of something. Have a good working memory though.

canyon2000 · 19/03/2021 19:21

@MysweetAudrina I'm the opposite. I write a food plan for the week and base my shopping list on it.

But you have to type that in exactly the order of the shop, you can't move things around so it's in shop order. I write my list grouping items in rough aisle on the paper as I go. I then attach it to my phone case so I can follow it and cross things off.

It is not in calligraphy (although I could do that in pretty much any colour ink available 😂)

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 20/03/2021 08:37

The colour of the ink 😍

lachy · 20/03/2021 08:45

I wish I could write so beautifully

inigomontoyahwillcox · 20/03/2021 08:46

The writer clearly has high school aged kids - little moons are all the rage at the moment (made popular via tiktok I believe) - they're mochi covered balls of ice cream, they're actually quite nice but you have to remortgage your house to buy them regularly.

TenThousandSpoons · 20/03/2021 08:51

My daughter keeps asking me to look for “Little Moons” in Tesco but I didn’t realise they are ice cream - I was looking in the sweet/choc aisle instead!

Throughabushbackwards · 20/03/2021 09:00

The comedian Robert Popper regularly posts "shopping lists" that he leaves for people to find in supermarket trolleys Grin

Gorgeous writing. I hope they come on and say "that's me!"

I do this too! Even for online shopping - I take the photo and then go and sit in the other room to order. I still manage to duplicate so many items as I can’t be arsed to get up and go in the other room to check Grin

I did wonder if this was overstepping when I posted it. I guess if the items had been a bit more personal I might not have shared!

Giant marrow - check
Pack of condoms - check
Squirty cream - check

Ami the only one that yells my list at Alexa?

Although to be fair she does mishear me sometimes and I have total nonsense on my phone list.

Sunshine1235 · 20/03/2021 18:55

This is the nicest shopping list I’ve ever seen. I feel ashamed of my scrapping scribbly lists now

Almost wish I’d nabbed it and framed it Grin

My dd is desperate for Little Moons. Our local Waitrose and Tesco don't sell them Smile

Lulu1919 · 20/03/2021 21:17

I've only had the coconut little moons but I love them !!!

Vickles20 · 20/03/2021 21:34

Oooh nice. Little moons are lush. They’re from
The sushi counter. Little soft balls of like a cheesecake mixture. Soooo creamy. They burst in your mouth and melt. Just two in a little box. Mega yummy. Mmmmm
