Where would I find an old fashioned penpal?

I know penpals are probably outdated now, but writing letters is something that seems to have become popular again during the pandemic. I always loved writing letters as a teenager and would love to take up the hobby again. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I could find one? I tried a few websites but a lot of them seem to be instant messaging or emails and I'm not interested in that. Thanks in advance :)

I had a pen pal in my teens. We lost touch for ages and then found each other again on Facebook.

Get onto the penpal FB groups, if you're active there. You do run into some people who won't write back but plenty of good people too. I think Instagram has active hashtags as well but I haven't used those to find pals.

Hi I have always had a pen friend since I was younger and at boarding school,a few years ago a Penfield died, after corresponding for 30yrs, I miss her we had a lot of laughs usually at our husbands expense! Recently retired, enjoy gardening going to the theatre, volunteer at a local charity shop, have 2 brothers one is my twin,am married no children., would very much like to a like-minded person.

I had pen pals when I was younger. One of them is my friend on SM. The other ended badly. He developed a real thing for me and didn't react well to me meeting my now ex.
