Have seen an awful lot, some of which have been truly awful!

It needs to be available on sky cinema, prime or Netflix.

Please help me sort out my evenings entertainment Grin

Get Out, The Thing (1982, not new one), The Descent, Ils, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Rec (or the American remake Quarantine), Creep, Midsommar

Creepy (Japanese I think) on prime is good. Also the endless

Another one for the Terror.
Very creepy.

Drag Me To Hell is one of my faves. I’d say it’s quite a similar vibe to Cabin in the Woods.

Same director as Evil Dead so has the same outrageous feel to it.

The Borderlands. Micro budget British horror which has moments of humour and is bloody scary. The ending! Shock

Needhelp101 · 08/03/2021 20:50

Yes to The Thing (original) and The Descent.

Severance and Dog Soldiers. Both comedy horror but genuinely horror. I particularly like Severance - Danny Dyer is (somewhat surprisingly) great in it.

"I mess things up, I get things wrong all the time...oh,shit, I left Gordon's foot on the coach! Sorry, mate." (You may have had to have seen it to find this funny 😁)

And Dog Soldiers, Sean Bean being hunted by werewolves, "I'm in the khasi!"

I LOVE dog soldiers! It's in my top 5 films.

It's not Sean Bean though, it's Sean Pertwee.

Second Ghost Stories, not horror exactly but bloody scary.

Also the black and white version of Whistle and I'll Come to You, 1968 adaptation of an M.R. James short story, possibly one of the most frightening things I've ever seen. You'll need a cushion!Smile

Yes to Hereditary. I'm a horror movie fanatic, was raised on them yes, I think my parents are great still so nothing really fazes me. Well, I watched Hereditary with DP the other evening and it really shit me up! Fantastic horror film that doesn't rely on cheap jump scares.

I'm bumping so it's back on TIO. Working my way through these.
