I am limping through to the end of the week and trying all the strategies to pull myself through.

So far I have

Getting DC1 out of the house and to school on time after she decided 10 minutes before time to leave that she couldn’t wear her planned World Book Day costume but didn’t know what else to wear.
Did the ironing.

I built a water table toy thing for the garden with the ‘assistance’ of a 3 year old. It has a million pieces.

queentsumtsum · 04/03/2021 14:33

Completed my gratitude journal and made an omelette for lunch! It wasn't a good omelette though :(

SweetPetrichor · 04/03/2021 14:42

I have cycled to get my prescription filled - exercise and necessary task combined.
Rehoused 6 juvenile tarantulas without any escapees!
My regular job.

RoseMartha · 04/03/2021 14:50

Household tasks such as washing, dressing and feeding self. Feeding kids
Sorting dishwasher and quick tidy up lounge.

Got dc to school.

Wfh mundane admin stuff mainly scanning. Then spent 15 mins cleaning up the six admin piles I had made on the floor.

Now picking up kids.

Was thinking abt going for walk after I drop them at their dads but I dont feel like it, it's cold and miserable out.

Done 2 world book day tasks with Ds and his times tables.

Having written the card yesterday, I walked to the nearest postbox and posted a birthday card to DB overseas. (His birthday is just over 2 months away but as his Christmas presents have still not yet arrived after 3 months in the mail, I think this will be late...).

I've been for a mammogram. But the achievement bit is that to get there I had to drive along the road where I had a serious car crash a few years ago. It's the first time I have done it alone since the accident and it was rather nerve wracking.

RoomAtTheEndOfTheWorld · 04/03/2021 15:16

I am feeling very much the same.
Energy levels are at an all time low this week. Feel like I'm just limping towards Monday when I'll have a bit of time to myself for the first time in almost a year! Until I'm back at work anyway. (Currently furloughed)
No proper school work as it's world book day, so school have set lots of book based crafts etc which I just can't be bothered with.
Ive managed to get DS to read a book and hand make a birthday card for his Auntie but that all the work he's done today. I will get him to do some proper writing later on today and finish off his craft project and maybe help me with dinner prep but that's as much as I can be bothered with today.

However I have managed to do the following:
Dishwasher
Give dog a shower after he trekked in loads of mud from the garden
Stripped bed and washed bedding
Spent ridiculous amount of time mindlessly scrolling on phone Blush

Still need to find the energy to:
Mop floor where dog has left muddy paw prints
Clean bathroom
Put bed sheets back on (workout in itself!)
Prep dinner

Lampzade · 04/03/2021 15:28

I have loads of paperwork to do , but I’ve spent the day posting on MN
I just don’t have energy

Begonias · 04/03/2021 15:34

Personal achievement, I managed 52 squats while waiting for the kettle to boil. It might not seem much but i haven't exercised since Feb last year. So 2 weeks of building them uo gradually, I finally did them in one go

Bbq1 · 04/03/2021 17:23

Educate and care for my class of children with SEN.
Have a mandatory covid test.
Ensure my own son is up and working on his last day of hs.
Call in and see my mum on the way home from work
Make the tea.
So far, I feel it's been a very productive day.

midsomermurderess · 04/03/2021 18:04

Edited 2 very dull chapters of an enormous and very dull book.

HandlebarLadyTash · 04/03/2021 19:20

Attached trellis to the shed, planted plant to grow up trellis
Annoyed child enough to study of a test
Drank a beer

BiddyPop · 05/03/2021 16:04

Managed somehow, in buying the exact thing that teen DD suggested for dinner, to STILL get it all wrong

So have come back upstairs to do more paid work.....

VienneseWhirligig · 05/03/2021 16:05

Had my Covid jab
Helped my DS with NVQ registration forms
Had a stressful day at work but come through it without a headache!

purrswhileheeats · 05/03/2021 16:29

I prevented an electrical fire at work. My boss was quite grateful but my colleague helpfully suggested it would've been better to let the building go up in flames and be rescued by burly firemen ShockGrin
