@Wrongsideofhistorymyarse

Isn't that the Rees Mogg family?
Apparently a fashion designer.. As a PP says, obscuring the surname doesn't really help with the anonymity Grin
iklboo · 02/03/2021 18:33

We've given DS made up names in supermarkets and he's always played along.

'Ozymandius Cornelius Pythagorus! Come here immediately!'

JuneFromBethesda · 02/03/2021 18:34

I saw this on Twitter, where the surname wasn’t blanked out 😄

She’s a fashion designer who makes posh pyjamas. One of the other children has the middle name Chaos 😂 and they have a dog called ... Bathtub 🤣

Changethetoner · 02/03/2021 18:34

I do like Hieronymus Bosch. Great paintings. It's a fabulous name. Lucky child. Not so sure about Triptych, I think we had an IT company called that in the olden days (1990s) that used to come and service our printers.

KibeththeWalker · 02/03/2021 18:39

So presumably Trippy Bliss to her friends. Confused

KibeththeWalker · 02/03/2021 18:40

Sorry, misread there, thought Bliss was the family surname.

Beforethetakingoftoastandt3a · 02/03/2021 18:46

I really hope their next baby is called Dave

JustStopFightingPlease · 02/03/2021 18:51

I am a fan of unusual names and have been scouring the Telegraph announcements for inspiration for number 3 but don't think I'll persuade DH to put any of those 3 on the list. The best I've seen so far is Topsy Mallory which is amazing.

Somethingkindaoooo · 02/03/2021 18:54

@Liquorishtoffee

Reminds me of the old (sadly no more) kebab shop on the corner of Tottenham Court Road. Beloved of boozed-up students on a Friday night...
Did they also sell the most amazing chips? I've just had a flashback
BalloonSlayer · 02/03/2021 18:56

When I was having my third DC I briefly considered Trinity if it was a girl.

Then I found out that there is a character in The Matrix called Trinity. I couldn't be arsed to watch it to check she didn't rip people's faces off so crossed it off my list in a reluctant, yet bone idle, fashion.

peaceanddove · 02/03/2021 18:58

Triptych Alabama Bliss sounds like a sexual act you can request in a Southern brothel.

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 18:59

Or a cocktail.

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 19:00

I’d love to be at that christening ceremony... or in a few years time, the child wedding when the name is outed to everyone who knows the kid as ‘Anne’...

LostToucan · 02/03/2021 19:50

Dionysus Cosmo Chaos - what a shame they went with Cosmo rather than Cosmic.

JustAGirlFromHoe · 02/03/2021 19:59

@Beforethetakingoftoastandt3a

I really hope their next baby is called Dave
That has really made me laugh, thank you!

Tar-mi-gan?

LostToucan · 02/03/2021 20:17

Baby no 2 was a bit disappointing though:

Better late than never: On 4 May 2017, at Borders General Hospital, to Selena and Simon, a second daughter, Skye Kerr, a sister for Ptarmigan.

I was hoping for a Ptolemy or a Capercaillie.

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 20:20

The ptarmigan is a gamebird, slightly larger than a grey partridge. oh dear, poor kid...

Scautish · 02/03/2021 20:20

It’s easy to find out who these people are - all over internet.

She’s clearly absolutely desperate for attention (and it is the mother who’s more prominent than the father - not being sexist). She sees her kids as a way to get the publicity she craves - pathetic

This thread’s probably given her the fanny gallops.

Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 20:24

We don’t have majorly outrageous names - but even once in a while we would gang up on mum and ask ‘what on earth were you thinking?’ or ‘what drugs did they give you in the maternity ward’.

AnOrangeForAHead · 02/03/2021 20:29

Amazing names. I’ve just suggested to dh that if we have another we should call her triptych. I like the idea of it being unique (bar one) - especially unique as it would be our second. Watch thus space ....Grin

RedLlama · 02/03/2021 20:31

@PattyPan

There are no words Grin I would probably assume it was a boy though, isn't Trip a nickname for boys in the US?
Trip is normally used when the boy is the 3rd of that name, so Humperdink Cuttlefish the 3rd would have the nick name of trip
Liquorishtoffee · 02/03/2021 20:35

More like ‘poor sod’

LostToucan · 02/03/2021 20:41

Or maybe the kids will be just be known as “Hippy, Dippy and Trippy”?
