I need some help deciding on my fourth's name. It's a girl and the name we really like is Jesse but her older sister is called June. Just wondering if you all think they're too similar as they start and end with the same letters. June has a twin sister Alfie and then they're older brother is Charlie just for reference. Thanks

I have a Jessica shortened to Jessie and we love the name but I always wonder what happens when they're older but still living with parents and a letter comes to MISS J Blogs is it not confusing which one it's intended for, especially if it's private, personally it puts me off but each to their own 😊

E is a letter we really like if anyone has any name suggestions for DC4 that would go well with Charlie, June & Alfie. Thanks for all the help

If you are looking for an E name i think Eloise is gorgeous.Goes with your other kids names.

OllysArmy · 02/03/2021 15:50

If you are worried about June having to share an initial, I would also be concerned about her being the only D.C. without a ee sounding name so would use your suggestion on Olive or for a E how about Emma, or Eve(Lyn).

In terms of having a ie sounding name and then switching to the more ‘grown up’ version when you become a professional, whilst I always thought that was important, I now look at my 2 closest friends and they both work in a medical field and didn’t see the need to change.

Alfie could be short for something. Surely its up to parents what they call their children not us. I like the name Jesse. I think the woman from the Saturdays is spelt Jessy for something different

MeadowHay · 02/03/2021 15:57

What about Jessamy shortened to Jessie? I agree a 'full' version of a name is good to have the option in adulthood. I know a few Jessicas who go by Jess as adults but yet to meet any that continue to go by Jessie.

Eliza is my favourite E name

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 02/03/2021 16:07

I like Emmeline or Eliza.

I think Jesse is fine. Alfie is already unusual but nice. Jesse would fit for that. Im also not a fan of Jessica.

How about Elizabeth with the nickname Bessie.. I agree with giving a different initial, makes life a lot easier when they are older and getting post.

Camomila · 02/03/2021 17:50

ramidad123 Sorry OP! I'd not heard of Alfreda before - I like it, sounds strong

If you like E names, Esther is nice but not used a lot.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 02/03/2021 17:57

@luxy thats a nice name. I like Bessie

Pieceofpurplesky · 02/03/2021 18:33

Eliza or Elizabeth (Bessie)
