Does anyone want to join me for a March boot camp?

I've got lockdown fat(ter) and I've been studiously avoiding my scales for weeks, ignoring the fact that my clothes don't fit.

So for March I'm planning a no alcohol/10,000 steps a day/no junk food boot camp. Anyone care to join me for accountability?

v low carb again. 1 gin (ooops)
2lb lighter this morning. Really hope i can keep it up. 2.5 stone to loose this year. The sooner the better.

Haven't managed the 10k steps today, just over 9k so not too bad, food has been ok too lots of veg and only two biscuits (when usually it's the whole pack).

walked from Caledonian road to Camden, then Camden to Covent garden then to waterloo station today it was about 7 miles in total so doing ok

Self-care: will do hand cream overnight as yesterday and took time to floss my teeth this morning. No junk food and no alcohol. 6k bike ride - pretty pleased with myself Smile

managed another day, encouraged by another lb off on scales....

@MyGhastIsFlabbered did you get out for a run this morning? I'm sitting here wondering if I could squeeze it in tomorrow morning before work, but I'd need to be up really early, and I've not been sleeping great since I stopped the alcohol. I'm really tired in the evenings and fall asleep pretty early, but can wake up about 2am wide awake and it takes me ages to get back to sleep. Hoping that my sleep improves soon.

No I didn't - I forgot to change my alarm Blush
Just hit 10,000 steps by pacing up and down my living room!

That's great, I haven't even hit 7k steps today. Going to motivate myself for an early start and a run tomorrow morning. Oh how times have changed!

Mixed bag here. Had some wine but diet was good. Did 10k on exercise bike.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 04/03/2021 21:42

Failed on the step front today. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

Not too bad today, agree with previous post as there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I'm hoping to get out for a walk/run at lunch once the schools reopen next week.

Morningmaeve · 05/03/2021 09:41

I can't do 10000 steps on days I work from home @MyGhastIsFlabbered. Has to be exercise bike in lunch hour. Going out for walk now as have today off.

Just back from an early morning C25K run. Feeling pretty good right now!

Well done @MyGhastIsFlabbered! I got out for a run this morning too, now I just need to try and tidy up my bombshell of a houses. Since I've started running again I find I'm so hungry, I could eat about 5 slices of toast no problem when I get back 🙈

wintertime6 · 08/03/2021 20:25

@MyGhastIsFlabbered what stage are you at in couch to 5k? I did week 6 run 2 this morning. Just looked ahead and seen that none of the remaining runs have any walking sections, it's building up from 25mins to 30mins constant running 🙈

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 08/03/2021 21:32

I went back to W6R1 today - I finished C25K in December but haven't run since (wretched anxiety) so I need to rebuild my fitness. Don't worry about not having any walking sections - you'll be amazed - bet you never thought you'd manage W5R3 did you? On the longer runs if it's tricky slow down...doesn't matter as long as you keep going. And I'm saying that as the slowest runner ever!!

Who's your coach? I chose Jo Whiley

How's everyone doing? My steps have really dropped off since the weather turned nasty Blush BUT I'm not giving myself a hard time about it so choosing to be kinder to myself instead.

And I bought some new face wash and moisturiser and have been using it every day. Small steps

Well I completely fell off the wagon halfway through March and never got back onto it. How about everyone else?
