I've been watching this series and I'm finding it fascinating. People who seem to have embraced a completely alternative lifestyle. They were living in self built dwellings without mod cons such as electricity and running water! They all seemed very calm and content with their choices. Has anyone seen this series? Would this lifestyle or maybe a less primitive version appeal to you?

I've just started watching this. It's so addictive! I'm fascinated by these people, many of whom seem to be living the complete opposite of what society views as a successful life. I definitely think some of the lives are more attractive than others. My favourites are the ones who have had normal, successful lives here and have done something completely different. I couldn't understand the motivation behind the young woman with the baby living on her own in Sweden at all.
