This morning I was worried about bringing in my emptied recycling boxes in case the neighbours thought I'd forgotten to put them out
This is clearly lunacy. I have never cared in my life about what anyone else thinks
Anyone else? Please tell me I'm not alone in my madness!

I’ve just finished hand-knitting a rug. I’ve not knitted anything since I was about 8, and hated it then. The rug looks shit.

KitKat1985 · 19/02/2021 09:12

I've been on leave this week (no real option to move the week as I didn't have childcare for the week, and all my annual leave needs to be used by
the end of next month anyway). I'm clearing out cupboards and wardrobes. Lots of cupboards. It's been quite satisfying, but I'm basically doing it as I just need to be doing something

Not me, but my friend. She is a real introvert and has always hated socialising. She has always preferred staying in and would much rather just curl up in front of the TV than join her friends on a night out.
This week she emailed a bunch of us planning a party at her house (for when lockdown is over obviously) followed by a late night cab into London to go clubbing!!
She has planned it all out... lockdown has finally broken her Grin

When I said oh piss off to my 4 year old 😱😬

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 19/02/2021 09:45

I've started talking to myself.

I don't mean "must take that washing out" talk. I mean asking myself a question, and answering in a different voice.

And this morning I had a friendly conversation with the abandoned bobble of a lost hat. Shock

Not sure whether to be concerned or not. Hmm

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 19/02/2021 09:48

DH have (friendly) fight over who gets to go to the Supermarket. There is real people there. We get to use the car. And then, when we get home, we can tell the other person what weird things other people did.

A year ago food shopping was endured not enjoyed.

RubyandPearl · 19/02/2021 10:19

@imonyourway I bet it isnt shit. I've started to crochet but havent worked out how to do rows so the house is covered in pointless woolen worms

Totally normal to me, but it's harder to do in lockdown when surrounded by family Grin

We live in a fairly rural and quiet place. We have realised the supermarket is usually deserted of a weekday evening so we have started to do the weekly shop together. This outing is anticipated with some excitement, mostly by DH who barely leaves the house during the week. Who would have thought a trip to Morrisons of an evening would constitute a thrilling night out together?

WantChewbaccaForGood · 19/02/2021 12:24

I'm going to blame lockdown and AF for the horrible screechy sarcastic voice in my head when I was shopping.
Anytime I reached for something dh had requested, I/it went "because I need some cake, waah waah, I'm a baby, get me some treats".

doubleshotespresso · 19/02/2021 12:27

I've just had (& won fwiw) a full on argument with DP about the fact that Fiona Bruce wore trainers to host Question Time last night.... he's gone very quiet and just made himself a tea Grin

MrsKFZeeeeee · 19/02/2021 12:29

Every out fit that has pockets has poo bags in, another walk anyone???

Time40 · 19/02/2021 12:31

This made me laugh!

42isthemeaning · 19/02/2021 12:39

I actually started doing daily exercise.
I'm a lazy podger normally.

Thorilicious · 19/02/2021 14:31

Going to the supermarket is now the equivalent of a Saturday night out out.

BerniesMittens · 19/02/2021 14:48

DH went for his covid jab yesterday in the next town. I was waiting for him to get home for news of The Outside! 🤣

SummerHouse · 19/02/2021 14:59

Me and DH have had a detailed debate about what a 'ghostie' is. I think it's a poo that disappears straight down the u bend so you never lay eyes on it. DH thinks it's a poo that leaves cleanly so the toilet paper is clear when you wipe.

So sorry. Felt compelled to share which is no doubt part of the same problem.

(Not even a poo troll).

God and I thought I was bored!

grassisjeweled · 19/02/2021 15:24

Woollen worms 😂

alloverthecarpetagain · 19/02/2021 15:30

I really enjoy watching a tv drama where the people in it go to a bar or pub especially if it's somewhere smart and busy. I could watch that for hours I think, just people drinking in a bar or pub. I don't even like those places.

StareIntotheMaggotDrawer · 19/02/2021 15:31

Yesterday I finally ran out of things to google. I just stared at my phone for a little while, and there was literally nothing I wanted to know. Then I went to bed at 7pm.

EssentialHummus · 19/02/2021 15:38

I run a volunteer project. This week we had one person asking if they could rearrange the toilet paper and another if they could leaflet in the local estate. We also have a big weekly "sort out the carrier bags" session. It's all useful stuff but you can tell that basically if it means you get to stay out of the house longer, someone will be volunteering for it.

EssentialHummus · 19/02/2021 15:51

Packing lentils into brown paper bags is another popular task.

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 19/02/2021 15:54

Then I went to bed at 7pm.

Yup. That's kind of the end of the road. (No idea what happens after that.)
