I'm so fecking booooored!!! Anyone else?

It's Saturday afternoon, I'm a single parent to 2 dc under 10, I got a lie in and they're on screens (again) but I'm so bloody bored 😭 I've had a really stressful week with work and was so looking forward to the weekend. But now it's here?!

I'm just about managing to stop myself from stuffing my face but it feels there isn't much other pleasure to be had. Anyone else feeling like this? And it's half term... 😭😭

I was bored but started a language course online. Challenging as I work full time but it's made a massive difference to my evenings and weekends as I'm doing something I enjoy.

I've been put on furlough part time. So this weekend I have a 3 dayer.

Yesterday I scrubbed the house top to bottom. Did the washing. Baked a cake. Went for a run. Walked the dogs.

Cooking dinner the oven died (thankfully dinner was properly cooked 🤣)

Today. Run with eldest dog. Iced cakes, dropped one to fil/mil (support bubble), fil gave me a fuse to fix my mixer so fixed that, had a bath, cooking dinner, more washing.

Tomorrow running dogs, lunch at pils because they are going insane.

Honestly chuffing ground hog day.

DH is working so he can't mooch with me and I'm bored with my own company now. Half tempted to walk to the next town and back just for something to do.

I've done nothing but eat today . Cooked myself lunch & the decided to eat a mini Xmas pud I'd found in the cupboard. Heated it up with tin of custard in my favourite bowl . Sat down to eat it , reached for the remote control & knocked my bowl off the arm of the sofa . Bowl fell , hit my best blue wine glass smashing it & then fell to the floor breaking into 2 pieces . Readers , wine in a puddle , custard spread over sofa & floor . Luckily one half of the bowl still contained some pudding & custard . I retrieved my spoon from under the sofa & ate what I could . 20 mins then spent cleaning up glass , china , wine , custard etc . Bizarre thing was I was grateful to have some thing to do . That is bored !! ( ps wish I had more custard )

I'm bored to tears too, I used to think that was just a saying but could happily howl out a window right now!!

Eek, the pp who is self isolating with a toddler... I'll stop complaining now! (sorry, can't go back a page)

It feels like I'm just killing time until the kids bedtime. Then I'll watch crap TV and go to bed too late, only to repeat it all tomorrow. And yes, I am annoying myself with how pathetic I'm being!

Bored now. I wanted to go out earlier but we started clearing out ds bedroom and it took a lot longer than I thought it would.
Filled up a black bag of rubbish and 2 for charity (when they open)
Now it’s getting dark and dcs want to go on the Xbox.

Luckily, we've just moved, so can at least occupy ourselves with decorating/putting things up, but i'm still just so fed up.

This time last year, we were in a beautiful airbnb for Valentines weekend, having a great time.

And now this. I long for normal weekends again.

What did you lot do on your weekends before? So far I’ve heard the library and the pub.

We would often visit family, go out somewhere for the day or meet up with friends. Often, I went out by myself with friends.

It's not even that I can think what I would like to be doing - like I wrote, I was desperate for the weekend to arrive, and now look! It's more that I feel restless and understimulated. A cumulative effect rather than an issue which would be solved by doing one activity. There's lots I could be doing around the home, go for a (bloody) walk etc. I just have a severe case of apathy.

Yep same here. Feeling very 'blah' at the moment. Kids are bouncing of the walls, and constantly squabbling. Too much screen time for everyone but fuck all else to do. Weather too bad here for a walk, especially with the children. My excitement today was sorting one of the kitchen cupboards out 😂

Can't wait for kids bedtime so I can do some yoga then start a new book.

I'm also bored stiff and listless. Judging by the crowd milling around Tesco this afternoon, so is absolutely everyone else. It's cold, every path has been walked and anything not concrete is muddy and impassable.
My normal life isn't very exciting but at least it has options. People other than my immediate family and eating meals prepared by someone else.

We’ve killed boredom today by watching four episodes of Giles and Monica’s Worlds Greatest Hotels on Iplayer. It’s proper escapism and we’ve planned holidays to places we would never usually visit. It’s honestly been a surprisingly unboring day during a week that has otherwise been dull as fuck.

And I’ve just cracked open a beer.

The most exciting thing that's happened to me today is the arrival of my online shopping order....living the fucking dream here.

It's not just the boredom for me, it's the can't-be-arsed-itis that's doing my head in. There are plenty of things I could do but I can't be arsed so will sit here and whinge about being bored instead.

Totally bored. Went for a run this morning and a walk this afternoon. Having a beer now. Having a Chinese take away later. Oh the excitement!

Ha, turns out it wasn't me being stupid with the washing machine but the water meter has split and water was pissing everywhere outside luckily... It has certainly livened up our Saturday!

We're so bored, DD3 has been playing with a single dried bean all day.

We had a short break to hit some ice with a spoon in the garden.

That has been the entire day.

We would usually do parkrun on Saturday morning, then I'd have a mooch around the charity shops and maybe have a coffee. In the afternoon we'd meet up with friends/go to kids party/cinema/soft play/swimming. On Sunday we'd usually visit family and go out for lunch. We were always out and doing things

Had a lie in . Got the car down the drive and went shopping . Snow had cleared when I got back so I went for a run . Brought flowers to my DH 's grave with my DS' as it's his 4th anniversary today .Chuckled at someone who had built a snowman in front of a nearby grave . Chilling now before doing dinner and I will have some wine . Same as recent Saturdays apart from the cemetery visit and the presence of snow
