Question about periods...anyone else have this?

So I'll come on on Tuesday, all seems normal til Thursday when around lunchtime I will suddenly stop bleeding altogether. Downsize to a panty liner... Nothing all day and night, then Friday lunchtime BAM! Back to heavy bleeding. This lasts the rest of the day and night then on the Saturday I'll usually stop again and that's it til next month.

Anyone else have this? I came off the pill a year ago and this has been happening last six months.

If it's something I was genuinely worried about I'd call a GP, but just think it's odd and not worth bothering them about so thought I'd ask on here.

Crikey, feel sorry for those having periods for a week or more. I'm usually 5-6 days tops.

Hmm, wonder if it is peri-menopause then. I'm 40 later this year. Don't know how old my mum was when she started and I lost her years ago so can't ask. Time will tell I guess.

I get the same op, annoyingly the ‘second wave’ doesn’t come with cramps so there are times I get caught out not knowing it’s started again until I go to the toilet.

Mine is like this every month. On for two days, off for a day then back on for one-two days then finished

I could of written this post myself. I mentioned it to a gynecologist when i went to them for something else and they said its common and nothing to worry about

I hope it's not peri menopause. Otherwise I've been in peri for 25+ years!
