A good few bands went over my head in the 80s. Siouxsie were one of them. Another was Echo and the Bunnymen. I listen to them now and they’re wonderful.

I want to post the answers to yesterday's lyric fest, because I'm now bored of it, but I'm slightly awaiting the re-emergence of @FlouncingBabooshka because (a) i think her DH will know one and (b) I've remembered 2 gigs i went to and didn't include and she'll definitely know the lyrics to one of them and I feel I owe her because flea zipped in and got the KB one. But I guess we'll have to wait until she recovers from her latest drunken stupor

Rogue I never really got into Siouxsie. I only liked them because Robert Smith was the guitarist! A lot of their stuff was too angry goth for me, I liked atmospheric goth🤣. I Don’t think I know Israel. 🤷🏻‍♂️. I was never a very good goth, I tanned too easily!🧟‍♀️

A quick update for anyone interested in goings on chez rogue today.

DH's valentine card has been in with the full clean dishwasher stuff since first thing.

I have been constantly going into the kitchen to single-use items in order for them to pile up on the side in the hope of nudging him into thinking unloading and then reloading the dishwasher is a good idea.

So far today I have had:
A crumpet w butter
A yoghurt
A cup of tea
A piece of cheese
A glass of water
Another cup of tea
Some hummus and crackers

I was starting to feel quite sick.

A friend sent a giff on a group chat that DH is also on. It clearly refers to valentine's day. DH sees gif and says "oh, forgot it was valentine's day... Happy valentine, wife"
I walk the dog in despair

I come back to the sound of the dishwasher running and a mortified DH saying "thank you for my lovely card. I feel so bad i didn't get one for you".

Well I decided to nip into co-op to get DH card whilst on my walk last week . Just going through the door and DH arrives 'to get some soup' . Shall we walk round together says DH, 'no' says I hovering in the card aisle . 'Do you want to get in the car and wait then' says he. 'No' says I hovering in the card aisle! I explained today and he says 'I thought you were acting weird but thought it best not to say anything '

My Valentine treat is he's cooking our evening meal tonight - nothing fancy but he never ever cooks so I'm looking forward to it !

MrPantry and I had agreed not to do gifts and cards.
I did enjoy asking him at midnight if he wanted to exchange now or in the morning. The sheer look of horror on his face was gift enough.
I hadn't actually got him anything ... and I was aware if he had decided to get me something I'd end up looking very foolish
