What were they?
Mine are:
Nail Polish, remover and top coat (technically 3 things but I’m counting them as 1 Grin )
2 books
Dishwasher tablets
Command hooks
Phone and watch charger stand thingy

Nothing ‘essential’ but I was needing them.
Feel free to ignore if you boycott Amazon, I try to during usual times but I’ve had to overlook some of my morals this past year in the name of vanity and organisation in a hurry Grin

I’m checking out lots of these purchases!
I got Richard Osman’s book for Christmas but can’t get into it, I’ve heard it’s brilliant and I will persevere.
Thanks for telling me what a smoking gun is, I’ve never heard of one before but sounds like something up DH’s street so I’ll investigate!

I’ll be honest with you OP, I absolutely adore Richard Osman as a presenter but his book is Not Very Good At All. I read a lot, both high and lowbrow, so I’m not being snobby because I was really excited to read it -but I really struggled with it. It’s a long book for not a lot of content.

Oh no @LadyOfTheCanyon that’s not good news! It had such good reviews aswell!
I’m not snobby either, love a good mix of heavy and light stuff and interchange depending on what I fancy at the time, I’ll push myself to get on with it though as I hate unfinished books (unless they’re really bad, life’s not worth reading really shit books IMO) and hopefully either pass it on or get it finished.

@FenEel

Are they new to you or replacements? *@GiantKitten* - I had The Saturdays and And Then There Were Five as a child, but never the other two, so I decided to buy them because I just finished reading The Saturdays to DS (I declined to do American accents) and have always wondered how it was they were in New York in the first book and the countryside in the third book! I love them too.
Goodness, what a treat for you! I haven’t read them for years, I must look for mine (and if I can’t find them, I’ll have to buy them again...) I loved Thimble Summer too, which I read long before the others, but I’m pretty sure I haven’t got that one any more. I’m sure you and your DS will both love them, even without the accents (I can’t do them either!) Smile

@TheChosenTwo

I've pushed on with it because it's so undemanding. It's a real Sunday morning before the kids get up and I've got half an hour kind of read. I'm sure you will find it ok too. But the adulation online is very much not deserved. And I feel bad saying that because I think he's a very nice and kind individual.
