I don't like Mondays - Boomtown Rats.
About a shooting at a school, when asked why she did it, the shooter told police because I don't like Mondays.

I know someone who thought it was about not liking Mondays and wanted help understanding why.

‘Tell me why I don’t like Mondays’.

I never knew that was what it was about.

See, I can remember stuff like this but not important things like, y'know, feeding my child 🙄

I can remember the song coming out (I was around 14) and there was a lot in the media at the time around the history behind the song.

Yet still I never realised that 'I don't like Mondays' was the response to the question 'tell me why'.

Can you imagine us all together as a team at a music quiz! We'd be unstoppable!
