When you are driving and overtaking another car is it possible to see who is in the driver and front passenger seat if you were to look?
I'm asking as I can't drive.

Yes. As pp have said, it depends on the situation as to how much of a look you can take whilst passing, but you can see, and once you pull in in front, you can certainly easily see both driver and passenger easily in your rear view mirror.

Sounds like someone has been spotted with someone they shouldn't have been with!

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing you were in the passenger seat and someone close to you (a partner, an ex?) was behind, recognised the car of the person driving and overtook. You want to know if they could have seen you in the car. Am I right?

It's quite difficult to see the passenger when you're actually overtaking but the moment you pull in front you can see them very clearly in your rear view mirror

Isn't this what rear facing dashcams were invented for ?

PigletJohn · 31/01/2021 16:19

Actually depends what time of day it is. Daytime more than likely, not a chance at night
