How long do cats live for?

One was 22, one was 18, two were 13.5 and one was 3. It depends, very much, on not only if they're indoor/outdoor cats, but also on genetic health issues (our 3 year old died because his urethrea became blocked by a calcium deposit). We have two more now (6 months old) and I hope they live long, healthy lives. However... who can tell?

I'm sorry for your loss. 16 is a very good age and you gave your lovely baby a wonderful life for as long as you could.

We've lost 2. 1 at 8 perhaps and 1 at 2. Both were accidents. Our boy cat is 16 and doing well, if a little stiff. Our girl cat is 11 and still springy
