Or are you happy with your lot? Smile

Bigger third bedroom, a driveway and a second bathroom. I hate our shoebox but love where it is.

nancybotwinbloom · 22/01/2021 21:53

Move the bathroom upstairs

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/01/2021 21:54

Bigger bathroom. A driveway. Fewer draughts!

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 21:54

@Rockbird do you have any parking at all?

OP posts:
Sway19 · 22/01/2021 21:54

@nancybotwinbloom oh no, I bet you dread needing a wee in the night!

I’d move it across the road for the better view.

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 21:56

@Maybesomethingmaybenothing what do you look out at compared to your neighbours?

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 22/01/2021 21:57

I'd make it bigger, detached and a much bigger garden. I love my house - but it's quite petite...

Workyticket · 22/01/2021 21:57

We've juat added an extension downstairs so I'm definitely happy with that

We couldn't add a room upstairs because of the layout (terrace) and we'd love an extra bedroom.

Once rhe loan is paid off from the extension we'll get a new roof and convert the loft to a bedroom

There's only us and ds but we only have 2 bedrooms after shifting the bathroom upstairs

Ex council house in a nice area. Happy mostly

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 22/01/2021 21:58

Put it in a field !

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 21:59

@Workyticket how long do you think it’ll take you to pay off your extension loan?

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 21:59

@huuuuunnnndderrricks the dream!

Leaky roof
Bigger bathroom
A garden not a yard

superram · 22/01/2021 22:00

Drive, wider hallway, change location of downstairs loo. 4 would be change bedrooms in loft.

Twattergy · 22/01/2021 22:00

Underfloor heating in bathrooms.
Bigger utility room.
Period features.

Maybesomethingmaybenothing · 22/01/2021 22:00

This is really outing will have to name change again but the houses across the road have a jaw-dropping view of the other side of the valley. We have it from upstairs, but downstairs: just the garden.

I covet their view.

Brownbananabandana · 22/01/2021 22:01

Insulation in the loft, have better access to the bins outside from the kitchen and have more storage all over the house!

AveEldon · 22/01/2021 22:01

Doors! Open plan is great until you are trying to homeschool multiple children

YakkityYakYakYak · 22/01/2021 22:01

Non slopey garden
Bigger rooms
Nicer street

So everything really 😂

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 22:01

Quite a few people after bigger bathrooms

OP posts:
cactusdog · 22/01/2021 22:02

Under floor heating in the kitchen and conservatory. Also extension upstairs and down so we could have a utility and a kitchen diner instead of a kitchen and separate dining room. God I want a utility so much 😭

Veuvestar · 22/01/2021 22:02

Right now, I’d just like a roof

Sway19 · 22/01/2021 22:03

@AveEldon or contain a toddler to one part of the house... I feel your pain

OP posts:
Msfoxy17 · 22/01/2021 22:03

Upstairs bathroom. Didn't think it would bother me being on ground floor but it bloody well does.. I would not recommend!
Non-creaking floorboards.
Big or at least bigger hallway. Ours is tiny and a nightmare when three of you including small child are all trying to get into house...especially with muddy boots on.

Toffeefee23 · 22/01/2021 22:03

Mine needs totally renovating (bought a project) so I’d just have it done overnight & not have to go through the hassle Grin
