A Good Place to Buy Jigsaws?

JigsawsAreTheNewAddiction · 22/01/2021 17:14

A friend bought me a jigsaw for Christmas and to my utter amazement I find myself hooked. I've sent for a few more but it's been very hit or miss.

Can anyone recommend a good stockist or manufacturer?

I got completely hooked n Lockdown 1, try these:

www.theyorkshirejigsawstore.co.uk/

Brands I like are Pomegranate, Eurographics, Gibson, the NYPC and Lawrence King. Amazon are also good, museum shops.

I discovered George's Whitestable Stores - they have a good range of jigsaws, including more contemporary ones. I love jigsaws 😄

The Works have quite a good selection of jigsaws and they are cheap too. I think that they are doing free delivery when you spend over £20.

I like the wentworth puzzles best - lots of different shape pieces and whimsy pieces

mazylou · 22/01/2021 17:21

George’s are fantastic, and really quick on delivery.

Barneys Newsbox in Cumbria has a good selection. House of Puzzles ones are always great quality. Falcon/Jumbo good too

I agree with this. Lots of choice, great service, quick delivery and saves a bit of money from going into Amazon’s coffers.

Sorry, I meant agree with Yorkshire Jigsaw instead of amazon! Doh!

I’ve just got into jigsaws too and I absolutely love the designs by cloud berries.

I have become a jigsaw addict in lockdown too OP. They are very satisfying and good for the brain.
I stock up when the charity shops are open, but I like Ravensburger and Gibson’s. Cloudberry ones are lovely too.
There is a thread running in chat for jigsaw fans. Can’t link, but it’s called Anyone Fancy a new jigsaw thread, if you want to have a look. Some beauties on there.

ThreeKneeRepeater · 22/01/2021 17:34

I found out how to link.

Have a look on selling sites. Lots of people have got into puzzles recently and are selling them. I bought a pile of 10 to £10 before Christmas

JigsawsAreTheNewAddiction · 22/01/2021 18:02

Thanks everyone. Plenty of places for me to look. Smile

I just bought some on amazon yesterday.

BBCK · 22/01/2021 18:26

eBay is your friend. Plenty of used puzzles in excellent condition. I love Ravensburger, Eurographics, Gibson and Jumbo.?

YukoandHiro · 22/01/2021 18:29

I adore jigsaws but I have two DC under 4, both at home 😔

YukoandHiro · 22/01/2021 18:30

(I should add, I'm doing a lot of 12 piece jigsaws. But I don't like those)

Kayjay2018 · 22/01/2021 18:38

@JigsawsAreTheNewAddiction my mum loves the wasgij ones as you don't know what picture you are making. Those are on Amazon or loads of other places Smile

ProbablyFault · 22/01/2021 18:41

Yes, I second Cloudberries.

May I ask on the back of this thread, if anyone could recommend a good puzzle mat? I am currently using an old tablecloth that I'm sliding out from under the settee which is not doing my 1000 piece puzzle any favours!
