Audible...what am I doing wrong?

I recently realised I am still subscribing to Audible, I clearly forgot to cancel after the free period! I’m happy to do this, because I’m interested in maintaining the subscription IF I can work out how to use my credits and buy titles! According to my records I have 7 credits, but everytime I try to use it against a title, it will only allow me to listen to a sample or add to wish list? What am I doing wrong?! All help gratefully received!

I can’t buy through the audible app either! I have to do it through my kindle - I thought it was just me, it seems like the oddest set up 🧐

As PPs have said - you can't buy through the app on an iPhone.

You also can't buy through the Amazon app on your iPhone 🤦‍♀️

It is a pain. I always buy through my laptop by logging directly into my audible account via a browser, or via Amazon on the browser.

It is quite a pain if you wanted to buy a title on the move - takes away the spontaneity.

This might be an Apple thing. You can't buy titles through the Audible App on iPhones. You have to Log into the website through your browser. The titles will then appear in your library on your app.

I have an iPhone, so don't know whether it's different with Android phones, but definitely is this way with Apple devices.

On Apple devices you can’t buy through the app because Apple take a big cut. You just need to go to the audible website on your phone and buy through there

It is the same with buying a movie via the Amazon prime app on an iPhone - can't do it!!

You can only buy through the app if you're on Android or another non- iPhone device.

That is because the apple store requires that all payments on an app for digital content go through them so they can take a huge bite. You can't even buy audible books on the amazon app - it has to be the website.

If you have an iPhone, you have to buy on the website, then the books are there for you on the app next time you log on.

It’s been said already I’m sure - but you have to add new titles on the website and not the app!

It’s genuinely the worst design ever!! I always lose my sh1t with it and give up! I managed it once and can’t remember what I did

There are two audible apps - one for listening and one for buying.

SavoyCabbage sorry to confuse! Love that book. Have re read it so many times and the narration is just as I played it in my head.

My DC always just ask Alexa when they want to buy a new audible book and she does it for them. I use the app but have Android 🤷‍♀️
