My lips are really dry and cracked, can someone recommend something that works.

*Carmex

LadyOfTheCanyon · 09/01/2021 15:53

You want the Nuxe in the pot with the black lid - it's got a gritty texture lots of people don't like but it stays on quite well.

TableDesk · 09/01/2021 15:55

Bodyshop hemp range.

Their hand cream and lip balm is the best thing I've found for my weather beaten skin. Lip balm is one of their best kept secrets

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/01/2021 15:56

Carmex in the pot. @flibbertigibbety I've just purchased some of your friends lip balm.

flibbertigibbety · 09/01/2021 15:58

Aww fab, you won't regret it! I always go for orange and bergamot...

AliceinBunniland · 09/01/2021 16:00

Classic Carmex moisturising lip balm. I've tried most. I use it all year round.

Fuss · 09/01/2021 16:18

Vitamin B12 and lots of water helped mine no end. In desperation I'd been slathering myself in savlon before bed, helped but not idea.
Anything with petroleum just kills me.

MrsSugar · 09/01/2021 16:19

Blistex relief cream ! Slap loads on and at night and ur lips will be soft in no hime. Once they r no longer flaky n sore then u can just use any old lip balm to protect them ! Try hard not to lick ur lips in cold weather. That makes them worse xxx

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/01/2021 16:21

@flibbertigibbety Snap, gone for peppermint too.

crabette · 09/01/2021 16:23

This is the best stuff ever. Put loads on before bed and you'll feel a big difference in the morning, then use like lipbalm/Vaseline all day.

Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment ❤️

Couldn't be without it for my lips.

Diamond Cosmetix.com
Recommended it on a thread recently. Really exciting natural lip oils and glosses in different colours/flavours etc. Makes your lips really soft and hydrated.Star

I tried that too and it really didn't work for me, neither did Burts Bees. Nivea was reasonably ok but not brilliant. I've given up now.
QueenPawPaws · 09/01/2021 16:43

Hurraw moon balm for me works really well. They do others but the moon balm is more intense

humptyrumpty · 09/01/2021 16:52

Carmex (pot, not squeezy) and don’t get the cherry one it’s not the same. It’s my lip balm holy grail

Somebodyotherthanme · 09/01/2021 16:55

I can't get Blistex anywhere, haven't been able to for ages, I thought it had perhaps been discontinued?

LondonStone · 09/01/2021 16:57

Another vote for Paw Paw but I like the original yellow one! Literally one of the only products I re-purchase religiously. I have one in the house, one in my bag, one in the car... love it!

Bairnsmum05 · 09/01/2021 16:58

@AliceinBunniland I use the first on. But as somebody has already said, it's really personal to each individual. I just know from years of having sore, bleeding, cracked lips, that this pot has healing powers!!

StillSmallVoice · 09/01/2021 17:00

Carmex or Nuxe for me.

AliceinBunniland · 09/01/2021 17:00

Yeah I realise people will have different preferences but I've often heard of the Nuxe balm mentioned and each time I've looked I haven't been sure which to get

Might try the first one then

Thank you

QuestionableMouse · 09/01/2021 17:02

@Alittlelessthanuseless

Carmex (yellow squeezy tube/red lid) this stuff works miracles! I’ve used expensive ones and other recommended ones but I always come back to this. For me, it’s the only thing that works!
I had a really bad reaction to that so I'd say try a small patch test first. I was genuinely worried that both of my lips were going to fall off 🤣
QuestionableMouse · 09/01/2021 17:03

I'm currently using an eos that I picked up quite cheaply. It's working for me, though the shape is a massive pain.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 09/01/2021 17:07

Blistex intense moisturiser is amazing (preferably the cherry one).

olivo · 09/01/2021 18:04

I love the molten brown one.
