Tangledtresses · 29/12/2020 11:38

Going for a long walk
Popping to Tesco

Cooking dinner

Sooooo exciting 🙂

hilariousnamehere · 29/12/2020 11:38

Packing orders for my online shop and mainlining leftover chocolate brownies 😂 planning to watch a film later... Sorry I'm no use at all am I?!

Thorilicious · 29/12/2020 11:38

Fuck all, in all honesty! Out for (another) daily walk, and then hopefully keeping the dc entertained.

onemouseplace · 29/12/2020 11:38

Erm ... going to go for another bloody walk this afternoon then play some board games and watch a film.

Bagelsandbrie · 29/12/2020 11:39

Ds is playing animal crossing on his switch on the main TV and then we are going to have some lunch and go for a walk into town to get some sawdust to clean out the guinea pigs. I’m basically dying of boredom to be honest!

cloudcett · 29/12/2020 11:41

Umm, same as everyone else it seems. Dragging DCs out for a freezing cold walk after lunch, then back home, cook dinner, watch a film, drink wine

Username7521 · 29/12/2020 11:43

Same. Walk (bloody cold and boring one no doubt). Film. Bored games. Maybe a puzzle. All the kids are playing ps with DP and I’m reading with the dog

PolarnOPirate · 29/12/2020 11:44

Went for yet another woodland walk. This time we chose somewhere with a bride way so saw 5 horses, mixing things up a bit 😂 lunch, thank you notes, DS age 5 will play PlayStation with his friend on FaceTime later. Hopefully DS3 will have a nap. I might read my new book. We are having old sofas taken away tomorrow! So excited! If it was warmer I’d be more driven to tidy the rest of the garage. What have I become 😄

Seeline · 29/12/2020 11:44

DH and I are both back to WFH.

DCs are older teens, so still in bed.

Same, same, same, same. Yawn.

MusicTeacherSussex · 29/12/2020 11:45

We lay in bed playing with the cat til 10, long walk on the beach then we are making a big warm pasta dish. Later we will watch netflix and play videogames.

Branleuse · 29/12/2020 11:45

ive eaten some crumpets, argued on the internet and feel a bit like crying at how shit everything is with nothing to look forward to

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 29/12/2020 11:48

DD is building Lego and watching a film.

DS is reading.

DH is reading (The Politicization of Mumsnet Grin).

I'm browsing Mumsnet.

I'm piling everyone into the car to get petrol and go to the woods later. Joy, oh bliss Hmm

Squishalish · 29/12/2020 11:48

We have watched Netflix all morning. Not even dressed yet. Can't be bothered! Going to have lunch then go out for yet another walk. Zzzz

SilenceIsNoLongerSuspicious · 29/12/2020 11:49

Driving 20 minutes for a different walk at a NT place. Chores (lots of tidying to do, plus meal prep). Kids will do music practice at some point, and one is doing an online dance class while the other does some maths on the ipad at the moment. Probably a film later, and the kids will no doubt play some Mariokart.

And a PP has just reminded me that we all have some writing to do - I have job applications, kids have thank you letters.

alltoomuchrightnow · 29/12/2020 11:49

Going to work

This! Everyday....
sobsanta · 29/12/2020 11:50

Waiting in for deliveries, cooking a healthy lunch and playing on the Switch/watching a film with DD1. She's currently in her Zoom counselling session but will be climbing the walls by lunch time.

InglouriousBasterd · 29/12/2020 11:51

Both DD and I are sat in bed reading / Mumsnetting. We will shift it soon and go for a walk into town to see the empty closed shops and get a takeaway coffee. I’m so bloody bored.

shamus2020 · 29/12/2020 11:51

I've just got in from work. I'm packing my DD's bags and they are off to their dads for 3 days. I shall be cleaning, packing away toys once i find places for them. Sorting out cupboards and changing bedding. Then I shall have a shower put on something comfy and order a takeaway Grin

eurochick · 29/12/2020 11:52

Been for a freezing cold muddy walk already to get out of the house while our cleaner was here

Films, Christmas toys, eating too much is what the rest of the day holds, I expect.

ExpensivelyDecorated · 29/12/2020 11:52

Faffing about on the internet. DH is watching TV, one DC is doing school work, the other self-isolating in their bedroom.

I am doing some paperwork for my volunteer role in between MN and FB. I have a click and collect to fetch from the supermarket later, going to be watching the darts this afternoon and evening and doing a jigsaw in between. Oh and have some dinner.

EsmeeMerlin · 29/12/2020 11:53

Same as every day, just pottering about at home. We are going to decorate biscuits, get the puzzles out and just try not to kill each other. I have gone for a walk today while my sons stayed at home with dh before he went to work. Both children need a walk really but ds2, the toddler, hates the cold and just cries and moans. He won’t wear a hat or gloves and it’s just hard work when it’s this cold. Usually I take them to soft play at this time of year.

itsgettingweird · 29/12/2020 11:54

Nothing much!

Went to pharmacy this morning as ds has bad nose.

He said need to see GP.

GP has said needs penicillin.

So we will walk to pharmacy!

So far we've walked each day for an hour or so.
Tomorrow I am meeting a friend to go for a walk.

Indoor things we like to do are:

Puzzles
Set challenges. Eg word searches.
Sort out a drawer a day.
Bake
Board games.

If children are younger and you live somewhere it's possible I'd let them in garden for long periods. Out on bikes and scooters - maybe a race?
Gardening.

I also think how's the time to forget common sense - for example have a water fight despite it being freezing as time to wash clothes and can soak in bath afterwards.

It's a perfect time to create memories of doing fun things you wouldn't recommend!
