We've watched films played board games tried out all dc new toys eaten cheese and drunk lots over the last few days

Also had walks but it's freezing and raining!

Looking for inspiration!

Going for a walk this afternoon. I need to do some work later despite being on holiday. Might have a bath and read my book in there. So fed up!

Ratbagratty · 29/12/2020 11:56

I'm at work (farm shop), kids at home with DH they have just done their thank you cards and are making gnocchi later for dinner 😄

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 29/12/2020 11:57

Drinking copious amounts of tea, another that needs to pop to the shops for some bits, and will probably rearrange some cupboards (again)
Ds and dh are alternating between watching hey duggee, reading books and playing games. Currently dh is playing GTA and ds is sat on his lap with the spare controller "playing" too

LBOCS2 · 29/12/2020 11:57

We watched Frozen 2 this morning. Cleaned out the Guinea pigs, got something out of the freezer for dinner, did a meal plan and online food shop.

Now I'm considering doing some cross stitch. My feral DC are playing in the playroom in their pants, DH is WFH upstairs. Wine later.

HmmSureJan · 29/12/2020 11:57

I'm going to walk the dog for miles in the cold because I love it. I'm aware that's not everyone's cup of tea though.

Echobelly · 29/12/2020 11:58

Daughter is making slime, son has some school work to do, we're going to watch 'Soul' on Disney+ as the drive-in viewing of Wonder Woman we were going to go to this evening was shut, having then been told it could open, then told a few hours later that was a mistake and they would have to shut.

Ratbagratty · 29/12/2020 11:58

Oh yesterday we watched a panto from the Marlow theatre, was really funny and free (they ask for a donation).

Sobeyondthehills · 29/12/2020 11:58

I am making DS clean his room, we are an hour in so far, this might be the most productive day yet

RubixCubix · 29/12/2020 11:59

Going to the tip as I have a boot full of cardboard to recycle. Might combine with a supermarket shop to avoid going out another time this week.

Also need to have a general tidy up and check under the sofas for the missing pieces of the jigsaw we 'finished' last night. Kitchen could do with a good clean too.

Other than that I have a few emails to catch up on and need to crack on with lesson plans (DC are home educated) for next term before the 4th. DC themselves are quite happily spending the day playing with presents still, board games, computer games and chatting online with friends.

Oh and we will all eat far too much cheese and chocolate, but that's the best part of Christmas Xmas Grin

Jaypreen · 29/12/2020 11:59

Meeting a couple of friends and going for a walk in the park. Home, watch film, call mum, cook dinner, drink wine and so to bed. Much like yesterday, the day before, tomorrow and the next day.......

Splodgetastic · 29/12/2020 11:59

Done a bit of work but I am waiting for someone to get back to me. DH working (from home). Now I’m working out and will get ahead with some food prep ready for us to relax together after he knocks off.

Whattodo121 · 29/12/2020 12:02

Have been to do a distanced present swap in a car park, currently cooking sausage sandwiches for lunch. Meeting a friend for coffee after lunch and a walk outside because we need someone to witness our house move documents-it’s little things like that that make you go FFS TIER FOUR RESTRICTIONS ARE ANNOYING. Normally I could just take them into work and get them witnessed but am off and want to get them in the post ready for when solicitors office reopens on Monday. Then roast chicken for dinner, and more telly and switch playing for DS and more Bridgerton for me!

AuditAngel · 29/12/2020 12:03

Took DS to an optician’s appointment this morning, also took DD1 to get her glasses adjusted. Bought us bacon rolls. Currently watching Amazon Prime.

I need to empty a 6foot bookshelf, and a 6 foot cupboard, swap their positions over and refill. After 9 months working on the dining room table, I am being evicted from the lounge and need to relocate my desk in a cupboard

PawPawNoodle · 29/12/2020 12:03

I've cleaned the house, cleaned myself, about to put some make up on ready for my exciting trip to the car wash.

Notverygrownup · 29/12/2020 12:07

Same as everyone - supermarket collection/walk/MN/film/food . . . reading this thread suddenly reminds me of Christmas holidays in the sixties and seventies. OK we went out in the evenings and were able to see/hug grandparents/cousins, but I've just realised how much slower life was then. It was boring/samey (specially in the wet/cold school holidays) but very comfortable, and you really appreciated a good book or something new (Poldark version 1 anyone?) on the TV.

The week after Christmas was always spent doing craft packs - detailed painting by numbers, or making random items out of wicker/clay/plaster of paris.

I think I survived mainly by keeping busy and looking forward to summer.

MinnieMountain · 29/12/2020 12:11

I’ve been for a walk. DH had his bike ride. DS (7) is currently behaving like a stroppy teenager whilst we try to get out for a bike ride together.

Later we’ll watch a film.

RubyFakeLips · 29/12/2020 12:13

I've insisted on a clear out, thought it would take yesterday afternoon but seems to be going on today as well. We aren't even hoarders!

Gazelda · 29/12/2020 12:14

DD is doing homework.
She's then tasked with putting 5 of her stocking tat items away, doing 15 mins of piano practice and writing one thank you letter.
I'm off to budgens to buy some fish for dinner.
Then do online shop.
I'll give DD a pedicure this afternoon while we watch Sewing Bee.

lillylemons · 29/12/2020 12:14

not a lot. Will be making candles with dd later on. Dh took ds for a walk because ds was bouncing off the walls.

MrBeagles · 29/12/2020 12:15

All so dull isn't it!

Been to the park. Potty training DS2. Eating. Lots. Watching TV. Also lots.

Yesterday I chucked the kids in the bath with a bath bomb had hot chocolate and watched a film. I'm not too well and having to be the source of entertainment is getting very tiresome.

Envious of my family up north who have snow. I could at least play in the garden - bit of a change

ghostmous3 · 29/12/2020 12:15

Working

MrsExpo · 29/12/2020 12:15

Hey, why not do what our neighbours daughter and her boyfriend have done ... p£@$ off to a Tier 3 area and stay over for a few days, enjoying the company of extended family, aged granny, school age siblings, random pals who drop by to stay hello, your mother who works in large supermarket and, of course, close neighbours.

(As you can tell, I'm not at all annoyed about this situation .... Angry .... and breathe .............)

Rockbird · 29/12/2020 12:16

Same as we've done since we broke up. Bugger all. Just had a call to say that a friend has died of Covid. Younger than us, only messaged a few days ago. I may never leave the house again and I'm not joking.

EmmanuelleMakro · 29/12/2020 12:16

Bike-riding and SUP (stand up paddle boarding)

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 29/12/2020 12:17

Holiday homework
Clean sheets all round
A run/gym session
Tidying up (mixture of new and old toys)

It's rock n roll here 😂
