We've watched films played board games tried out all dc new toys eaten cheese and drunk lots over the last few days

Also had walks but it's freezing and raining!

Looking for inspiration!

Doubt you'll get inspired by my list Grin

Changed the bed, hung another load. Vacuum packed away DPs many Christmas jumpers and hats.

When I stop moosing about on MN I'll do some French lessons on Duolingo, half an hour on the WiiFit which is about as much exercise as I can stomach, and then read my book and finish a jigsaw. Chocolate may feature Wink

Have FaceTimed DD and spoken to GCs. It's incredible that I wasn't allowed to see them on Christmas Day but can return to her house next week to do childcare while she teaches a classroom full of primary aged kids.

Did a Sainsbury's run for next door neighbour and will post her COVID test later....

EloraaDanan · 29/12/2020 12:56

I don’t know.... a walk probably 😩😩😩😩

hopingforonlychild · 29/12/2020 12:56

Work from home.

Cuddled and fed the hamster.

Put the laundry in washing machine.

obsessed about mortgage overpayments.

I honestly miss my old life- I would have been in St Paul's meeting my DH for lunch, browsing superdrug and picking up cake at the Museum of London during my lunch break.

moomin11 · 29/12/2020 12:58

I might go to the zoo.

CrochetBug · 29/12/2020 12:59

Watching Bridgerton and crocheting scarves for my nieces.
DS1 hasn't emerged from his room but is awake.
DS2 came out for food and to help bring the shopping in.
Mum is meant to be popping over for a coffee but no idea when. She said 12ish Hmm

2bazookas · 29/12/2020 13:00

Pretty much the same as every day since March. Read, watch a film, cook, go for a walk away from other people, whatsapp the kids, fool around with DH. We might try our xmas present games ( Pandemic, and Genius Star) or xmas jigsaw. DH and I are very able to entertain each other indefinitely :-)

doubleshotespresso · 29/12/2020 13:02

So tier 4 here with a very hyperactive SN D.C.....

So far today we have had a scooter ride after breakfast in private gardens outside (was still dark to give you a flavour 🙃)....
Made bread dough together, done a video call with my parents....
Played an interactive music app on iPad
Decorated our second gingerbread house (first one was decimated in a meltdown this one is a home baked and less pretty effort but hey we are happy)
Cleaned kitchen again
Cooked and eaten lunch together
Written thank-you cards
Now on floor with a Lego set..
I'm frantically pottering with household catch up chores whilst Lego brings calm.
Will possibly have another runabout outside but it's freezing!
Possibly make some dinner prep together after that
Then will couple a short drive to check on MIL (empty) house with a look at local Christmas lights before dinner.
All rather repetitive here and I'm so bloody sick of "going for walks"....
Other than that it's all been pretty doable here under tier 4 so far, I'm praying they keep schools closed -this just feels the safest option for now.

Gwlondon · 29/12/2020 13:03

I am lying down. My son is reading the kindle in bed. My daughter is playing but I might bake with her later. She seems like she needs activities today. (She has been making crystals this morning).

I took the kids for a short jog yesterday. It’s a loop that we do twice. No coats but we all had gloves. We sprint the very last section.

Do you have any crafts that you could do? Or play doh/ clay stuff? I know it’s a mess but it can keep interest for a while.

Something like cleaning or washing up? Mine might be younger than yours though.

Snally82 · 29/12/2020 13:05

Endless games of Just Dance

RickiTarr · 29/12/2020 13:05

We’re all going to paint the hall this PM, hopefully larder and utility tomorrow. Have audiobooks on hand to listen to.

Rockybooboo · 29/12/2020 13:08

Working outside of home as aSocial Care charity Administrator.

Cyw2018 · 29/12/2020 13:09

Going sledging with DD and dog this afternoon.

namesnamesnamesnames · 29/12/2020 13:09

Read a bit of my book before being interrupted. Older kids on console games, youngest just playing with toys. Husband trying to find jobs in the house to do. Cleaned the kitchen, ate sweets. Might go for a walk but it's pretty drab out there.

giggly · 29/12/2020 13:10

WFH while trying to keep an eye on dc who are sadly having to amuse themselves. So for everyone stating about same old same old at least your getting to spend time with your dc. Mine are back in school next week as I am a key worker so only got the long weekend again to spend with them which I appreciate is more than other frontline workers.
No lovely walks in the snow for us today or tomorrow or the next .....

Mischance · 29/12/2020 13:11

Go and view a new house in Tier 2!

Seriously, the estate agent has just ring to offer me a viewer from Tier 4 - I am in Tier 2. Tier 4 are not even meant to be leaving their own home, let alone travelling 100 miles to a different tier and looking round someone else's home!

zippityzip · 29/12/2020 13:11

@Ilovenewyear Literally having the same experience. Washed their waterproofs four fucking times a week minimum and I AM SICK OF COLD WET FUCKING WALKS.

MyCatShopsAtAldi · 29/12/2020 13:11

DS1 is having a pyjama day and playing with toys new and old, DH took DC2 out for a walk/buggy nap, and I’ve been attempting to tidy/declutter (aka moving stuff round the room with a look of despair on my face). Plans for the afternoon include possible WhatsApp calls to family.

Had a coffee with my next door neighbour the other day standing on our drives. Honestly, it was as exciting as “going out-out” used to be.Grin

Randomrebel · 29/12/2020 13:14

I’ve been isolating since March, WFH part time and only going out for exercise walks and for Click and collect. We are in tier 2 with teens secondary school but expecting to move up 1 or 2 tiers with the next announcement.
My day today as off work is pretty much the same as any other day since March. Quick tidy round, take the dog out, wake the kids, encouraging them to make their beds, open blinds to let some day light in and put dirty clothes in wash/put their clean clothes away. Today I issued an ultimatum rooms tidy by 6pm or no IT whatsoever in bedrooms after this time.

Watch some telly. Take the dog out again before it gets dark. Try and persuade someone to come out with me. Make a couple of phone calls and make tea.

RB68 · 29/12/2020 13:14

T3 but not even sure how things are different these days. I am catching up and trying to plan emptying a flat in T3 that needs to go back to the Landlord so calls to make and trying to get it done asap so complete lockdown doesn't make it even worse.

Also going to sort out Scrub stocks at our local hub - got a few hundred to send out as vaccinators requesting them, you may all think the scrub thing is over and done but even now still getting requests. Glad we kept a stock really

It just snowed here so making sure logs in and phoning my Dad

Teen is in bed revising/watching you tube whatever teens do - she is supposed to have Mocks first week back

Food wise still making meals up from left overs and what is in fridge etc but may have to sort an order or supermarket visit

Thats all folks

Todayisgood2 · 29/12/2020 13:20

Been to the playground at silly o'clock , reading books have been out today, colouring and jigsaws. Another walk or scoot this afternoon, making cakes.....

ImFree2doasiwant · 29/12/2020 13:28
