Also had walks but it's freezing and raining!

Looking for inspiration!

Went for a walk this morning and went to the post office along the way and then Starbucks.
Work ( lesson planning ).
Les Mills on demand 30 mins exercise
Play Among Us with the kids and DH.
Play The Chase board game .

Some Netflix and eating in between .

Ori2021 · 29/12/2020 13:31

Had a row with DH.

Tripped over cat trying to sort kid's breakfast.

Spent half an hour in a pointless argument with a six yr old about the beginning of the universe.

Wrestled toddler into wetsuit. Loaded children + sulky husband into freezing car.

Went for nice walk on Reigate Hill. Everyone perked up.

Toddler lay in freezing puddle size of a sinkhole. Wetsuit defeated. End of walk.

Got home. Stripped everyone down. Husband did sandwiches. Fed kids.

Toddler down for nap.

Six year old watching Mickey Mouse. Me on Mumsnet.

Sainsbury's later. Dinner. Sex (maybe.) Sleep

Get up, repeat.

soundsystem · 29/12/2020 13:31

Ha yeah nothing to add: walks, films, Lego, eating chocolate.

Saw 6 dogs, 1 cat, too many pigeons to count and no robins. That's what passes for fun nowadays!

6yo has just voluntarily gone to tidy her room.

ScouseQueen · 29/12/2020 13:32

I'm not even in Tier 4 (although let's see tomorrow) but very much the same. Bloody rain! At least if it stayed cold but dry, walks would be nicer. I am actually pretty content lounging around the house but have older DC so I feel for the folk with toddlers to keep busy all day.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/12/2020 13:34

Swashbuckler first thing, then breakfast and a couple of board games, then walk, then lunch and now watching Sonic. Later will be more board games, bit of housework while DS plays, dinner and then probably a film. Lots of screen time but sod it.

00100001 · 29/12/2020 13:35

Sorting out the utility room this morning. Stopped for lunch, nearly done

Going for a bike ride around 3.

DS is out with his friends, they e gone to the skate park.

DH is cutting wood for the log burner. He'll come on the bike ride later.

Tonight, laundry for DH. DS is doing homework. Making flapjacks :)

EagleFlight · 29/12/2020 13:36

DH took the children out for a walk earlier. He says he will take them out again later but I’m not sure how agreeable the oldest two will be.

Tier 4 in freezing weather just isn’t much fun outside. Thankfully the Christmas toys and some cartoons will entertain the children.

Heartlantern2 · 29/12/2020 13:37

Same day in, day out. I’m a huge home body and known for my love of being at home....even I’m bored of it and at the end of my teather!!

InvisibleToEveryone · 29/12/2020 13:38

DC1 knitting or crocheting??
DC2 playing on the xbox
DH and I watching raised by wolves.

In a bit going to town, DC have eye appointments, probably a mooch see what's open.

nancy75 · 29/12/2020 13:40

Special exciting big day out for me today - did the weekly shop at Sainsbury’s!
To liven it up I used to new scan app thing on my phone.

LIVING THE DREAM!

MrsMop1964 · 29/12/2020 13:42

Teenager in bedroom, most likely watching endless TikToks and chatting with her friends online. I'm considering getting off the sofa in a minute to hang up the washing that's just finished spinning. Then I'll probably watch a couple of episodes of one of the several korean dramas I'm currently following on Netflix. To be fair , there's only us two and this is what we do every school holiday so it's unaffected by COVID. I think we might be allergic to fresh air so we'll give the walks a miss!

Joeblack066 · 29/12/2020 13:43

Tier 3 is much the same, except non essential shops are open. But we shouldn’t travel anyway so there’s nothing to do outside the home 🤷‍♀️

lachy · 29/12/2020 13:44

DH and I are both WFH. We're taking turns in playing with DD, but predictably she wants to play with the one of us who is working!

User9574 · 29/12/2020 13:44

Popped to pharmacy, did a food shop, went for a walk, now having caffeine, have work work to do, plus a heap of sale items to package and return. I'd rather be cooking and watching tv.

Cam2020 · 29/12/2020 13:45

More if the same, I'm afraid. Although for once, DD is happy to just hang at home today and is quite happy. Saving the playground and limited number of walks for when I need them!

NothingIsWrong · 29/12/2020 13:45

Went for a run, took all the rubbish to the tip. Now one child is mucking out his room with his Dad and the girls are playing just dance to try and get them moving.

Justa47 · 29/12/2020 13:46

Taken down lights. Taken stuff to charity and watching midsummer murders.

Bluewavescrashing · 29/12/2020 13:49

DCs both feel under the weather so they're watching TV. DH working from home. I'm sorting out thank you cards ready to post later... Will walk the long way round. Cleaning bathroom, laundry. Nothing exciting.

isthismylifenow · 29/12/2020 13:54

I am in South Africa and we went back into a harsher lockdown last night.

The last lockdown was in winter so it's a little bit different this time from that sense.

This morning went for a run, then had a swim. Took down the Christmas tree, tidied the house. (again). Tried to have a snooze but couldnt. Going to BBQ steaks for dinner. Dd is baking. Hence the kitchen will no doubt be a disaster.

I'm actually waiting to hear if we need to quarantine as someone we have been in close contact with has symptoms and has just been tested.

So back to day 1 for us.

VioletCharlotte · 29/12/2020 13:54

I'm working from home. 19 year old DS is watching films and playing PS4. I popped out this morning to the Post Office and Supermarket and will go out later to walk the dog.

I feel for people with small children, it must be very hard to keep them entertained. A

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 29/12/2020 13:55

Doing my professional CPD online before the end of year!

maddiemookins16mum · 29/12/2020 13:56

About to do an online Zoom escape room.

Katjolo · 29/12/2020 14:03

Just back from a long walk 😀

Squidwitch · 29/12/2020 14:06

Forced dh and ds5 out of door for dog walk, DS3 is drilling Peppa pigs head with a toy drill. I'm counting minutes till I can escape to allotment in rain, but solo. Kids trying to murder each other constantly. Me and dh have shouted sentiments about divorce freely and I can't do my jigsaws without dog eating. And we're only tier three!

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 29/12/2020 14:08

Watching darts , drinking wine and eating buttered slathered french stick 🥖.. I plan on only moving if I need to wee.. I’ve told them all I’m not cooking and to fend for yourselves
