I saw a documentary once where Pete Waterman said he's written it as an up yourself to the Brit Awards as his songs were snubbed in favour o of bamds such as U3, Fleetwood MAC, Queen etc. Said he was making a point that he could get anyone to sing the crap he wrote, and it would still be a hit or something like that.

He really didn’t need to write that to prove he could get any old crap in the charts!🤣

I'm just pleased that my brain is still able to come up with vague memories from the distant past that I haven't thought about in more than 30 years .

I think the bottom of the cool ladder has to go to the poster who came up with all these dodgy songs in the first place !!!
