How on earth do I stop her standing in the bath?!

DD is only 8 months but her favourite thing at the moment is pulling to stand on anything that she can get her hands on. Unfortunately, the side of the bath is just at a perfect height for her to do so.

I keep one hand on her as much as possible but this doesn't stop her grabbing the side of the bath and trying to get to her feet. She is so quick. Today, I took my hand off her for literally two seconds to pass a spoon of vitamins from one hand to another and she grabbed the side and started to pull up. Unfortunately, she slipped and although I grabbed her before she went properly under she did take a bit of a dunking. She was a bit upset from the shock of it but was soon content again. It didn't stop her trying to get up again!

Any suggestions to keep her sitting? She has bath toys and does enjoy splashing around. I'd just prefer it if I could clean her teeth or give her her vitamins without her skittering around like Bambi on ice!

bathmat.
or a towel to make it less non slip.

or take baby in the shower with you.

and never ever take your attention off a baby or toddler in the bath. not for a single nanosecond.

I’d also recommend getting a bath tray (the kind of thing you might put a glass of wine and book on if you ever get a chance!) My LO lived to stand and play in the bath and it makes a much better place to use toys than putting them on the side as it has more room. Also they can stand in the middle, so feet are flatter, rather than having to lean.

We have a bath seat (looks like the seat from a baby swing at the park) with suction things to stick it to the bath.

Bought it in boots.

Sounds a challenge. Surprisingly DS never did that trick
