Trying to decide and would be fab to hear other people's experiences. We want it to heat a large kitchen (no ch) but also to be able to turn it off in summer.

We've got an electric Aga that warms the kitchen really well and in the summer you can turn the ovens off and use the hot plates on demand. It's a Dual Control I think. Costs about £100 a month to run in the winter

Sorry, only seeing this now... yes we bought one of the mini ovens with the 2 electric rings on top from Argos. Between that, a slow cooker and a microwave we get by the summer months fine (family of 5). As a pp said... the Aga really is the heart of our house and the whole house feels so much nicer when it’s on!

Sorry my mistake - the Aga uses 70L of oil per week - not 150!!!

I love with the Everhot you can switch ovens/plates off when you don't want them. I do this in summer to keep the heat down. And you have the option of setting exact temperatures but mostly I don't bother anymore

The main oven only takes about 30min to warm up if you switch the grill on too if you accidentally forget/have switched it into eco by mistake Blush

My aunt has a Everhot and it's brilliant and easy to use. I stayed with her for a couple of months and loved cooking on it. Unfortunately we can't afford to get one
