Trifle here, probably shop bought. Nigella's Christmas book has a fab chocolate pudding for the Christmas pudding haters, might do that.

I've got a sticky toffee pudding on order from Cartmel.

Fresh orange salad.

Slice the oranges , removing all pith and skin. Sprinkle with icing sugar and orange liquor (if appropriate). Scatter with mint leaves or pomegranate seeds.

Enjoy.

Have Christmas pudding for supper.

We have a chocolate pavé.

Rich, dark chocolate biscuits layered with cream which is whipped with chocolate, coffee and brandy. It is frozen (so easy to make in advance) and then taken out a couple of hours before eating. Slice in the diagonal so you get a stripy slice.

Last year I made a chocolate and chestnut pavlova and lemon possets. Also Christmas pudding.

This year I think it will be a raspberry and blueberry pavlova and some sort of chocolatey torte.

I make cheesecakes, usually a plain vanilla and something like kinder chocolate or a lemon one - they're always the first things to go and it's the shop bought gateaux that get left over!

Snow Queen. No cooking involved.

Christmas pudding ice cream. Soak dried fruit in whisky/brandy or rum, mix in cocoa powder, mixed spice, icing sugar, egg yolk, whipped cream and beaten egg white, then freeze. It is no good for children or if you’re pregnant, but it is too good to share anyway.
